My daughter introduced me to Thorncrest Farm.We bought some chocolates after seeing the new baby calf in the barn.Loved the chocolate. On another visit I bought some milk for my coffee and some chocolate. I don't like milk usually, but I did like their milk.I don't know why.It didn't leave an aftertaste in my mouth.I took some pictures because I love the quaintness of the place.I will definitely go to visit again

Here at Sunset Meadow® Vineyards, our motto is "From Ground to Glass". Located on Route 63 in Goshen, CT, we are a sustainably farmed vineyard with over 170 acres producing 15 varieties of grapes. Having been educated at the University of California, Davis, our winemaker takes great pains to bring you crisp, clean whites and rich, well-balanced reds. We offer 21 different varieties of wines at present. Our Tasting Room is open year-round for you to come and enjoy our wines. All tastings end 30 minutes prior to close. We also offer a gift shop filled with local CT products and wine-related items as well as gift baskets made to order.
I decided to go for a drive last weekend not planning on stopping anywhere but I saw a sign the vineyard was open and decided to stop just to see it. There were clear signs in the parking lot asking you stay in your car and before I was done reading the sign two very friendly people in masks and gloves came out to greet me. They gave me great info on the vineyard and wine from 6 feet away. I told them I don't drink and don't need a gift for anyone right now but the girl Kim stayed talking to me while the boy went to help another car that pulled up. Kim then told me about the CT chocolate they sell as well as all the local cheeses and crackers. She was very patient and even repeated the options when I couldn't decide. She helped me with cracker selection too. So I left a vineyard VERY happy with CT cheeses. Sorry I can't mention the wine but while I was there one other car bought a few bottles and another car bought a case. Thanks SMV.

Was on our way to a different place and drove by and decided to stop. It was great for 2 boys ages 5 and 7. Well worth the extra $5 for the food to feed the animals. The Museum was also very nice. The roads are a little rough but it keeps everyone driving slow. Will definitely visit again.

Ideally located in the rolling Litchfield Hills near scenic two-lane highways, covered bridges, and antique shops. Its bright and airy tasting room and large exterior deck make an excellent place to sit, relax, have a glass of wine and enjoy the company of good friends. The Vineyard is two hours from New York City. A visit to the area with its famous autumn foliage, historic sights and many wineries makes a great day trip.
What a great find ! This place is a gem ???? It’s small and cozy like but large enough because you don’t feel closed in. Cathedral ceilings, an outdoor patio seating area, chairs and tables under a pergola and a nice fire pit to keep toasty on chilly autumn afternoons. Live music as well !!!! But the best part are the amazingly tasting wines. These are so smooth and succulent. No preservatives, no sulfates, just amazing wine. You will not be disappointed coming here. Mark, the owners son, is very welcoming and the rest of the staff was so gracious and helpful. We can’t wait to go back enjoy another Sunday afternoon at Miranda vineyard. ????????
Meet farmers, chefs and artisans amongst the vineyards Local residents, weekenders, savvy chefs, and tourists flock to the lively market that pops up outside this picturesque Connecticut vineyard, in the rolling Litchfield Hills. Every Saturday, July through October, market tents cast their shade across an extraordinary variety of fruits and vegetables as well as prepared foods- there is even musical entertainment as well. Take some time and step inside the rustic tasting room and try some traditional European crafted wines and maybe purchase a glass or bottle to enjoy as you stroll through the market or picnic overlooking the vineyards.
