Nice hike through the old growth forest. You come to the Chrome Island Lighthouse. Go to the path on the right and you come to an Eagles nest. This is a super popular spot when they are nesting.

Located on peaceful Denman Island, Fillongley Provincial Park is a short 10-minute ferry crossing from Buckley Bay (located between Qualicum Beach and the town of Courtenay). Fillongley is a popular small campground. It has 10 oceanside, compact campsites. It is 80% reservable and reservations are strongly recommended due to the limited number of campsites available. This is the only provincial campground on Denman Island; campers may camp in the adjacent day-use parking lot overnight when the main campground is full (regular camping fees apply to overflow camping).
One of my favorite campsites.( I live on Vancouver Island) Cute campground with 10 private sites on the ocean. (No ocean view sites but steps away.) Acess to the beach with picnic tables and benchs are right at the compsite. Not like the other parks were you have to drive to the picnic area. Makes for great camping.
Contemporary Canadian Artist Shannon Ford shares her paintings of Ocean inspired artwork in her Seaside Art Studio located near the Hornby Ferry on her 60 acre Mangalarga Marchador horse farm. U shaped driveway and ample parking.
