Not sure I want to review our visit to Pennyrile because of the beautful lake, good for boating and fishing, or because of the very nice lodge with good food and a fine and friendly staff, or because of the many activities inside the park, like hiking, swimming at the pool or lake, tennis and a golf course and because of the friendly ground hog that has taken up residence near the lodge or because they have many cottages if you prefer a little more rustic places to stay, or because of the many horse trails and the fine campground .. It's a wonderful place and I'd like to keep it to myself, but alas, ..... I guess I've just spilled the beans. We had a wonderful time and I'm betting you will too. Caveat - all the lodging is "pet friendly" and the campground is a bit small for those larger rigs.
