Ehlers General Store

Historic Ehlers General Store serving the South Shore of Lake Superior for 102 years. One of the oldest general stores in Wisconsin. We have lots of locally grown and made items from cheese to soap, local arts and crafts, beef and lamb. Organic groceries, beer and wine. Our little deli makes unique sandwiches and salads daily. Our smoked whitefish dip is the best on the south shore, made with Sassy Nanny goat cheese and locally smoked whitefish. As Herman Ehlers said "if we don't have it, you don't need it.

Found our favorite tshirt of the trip here! Lots of interesting things to look at and dinner to boot! One spot is a place to eat, one spot is gifts, on part is grocery store, one part is Corny memorabilia, one part is hardware store.

You need to be careful on the trail-watch for tree roots and some rocks as you are walking so you don't trip, but there are many boardwalks on the trail also. But it is worth it when you get to the falls. Very peaceful. I am so glad we did this.
