We spent a fantastic day in flat island travelling with martial. We left at 9 from Cap Malhereux and got to the island in 45 minutes, we were the only tourists in the boat, we were accompanied by his family.
Once on the island we had time to snorkel on the channel between Flat Island and Gabriel Island, there we had the best snorkelling of our stay in Mauritius, we saw angel fish, picasso fish ...
At 12:30 we had a a great lunch prepared by Martial who treated us like real VIPs, including rice, chicken, grilled fish and a tasteful dessert.
Then again back to the beach for swimming and snorkeling until 16:00h, going with Martial you get to spend one more hour in the island than going with the catamarns.
And for finishing the day on top, we saw dolphins on our way back!!
If you want to go to the Flat Island, Martial is the best option.

The only way to get there is by catamaran from a cruise company or by a private boat. If you go with a cruise company, you will have the chance to visit a few of the nearby Islands on the same day so it is definitely worth the deal in my opinion.
The beach is great, the sand is snow white and the water is crystal clear. You can also see the nearby islets from the shore, so make sure to bring your camera for a few shots.

We visited this place at the end of the day of our North Mauritius tour.Nice place .This village is famous for a nice red -coloured church and a beach.
The small size red -coloured roof church is the star attraction of this place. We noticed wedding taking place there and grooms and brides getting themselves photographed on the beach. This beach is nearer to an island to which tourists visit there by hiring catamaran, speed boats etc.We saw fisherman catching fish and selling them on the beach.Unlike Sandy beach in other places this beach is Rocky. We were told due to volcanic eruption the beach is having black rocks.Trees are there with grassy patches of land to give shade to the visitors. Nice calm and quite place to relax.

Sail with our catamaran to the small island Ile Plate in the north of Mauritius. The island offers a beautiful white sandy beach and fantastic snorkeling spots. Our elegant catamaran offers comfortable space for up to 12 people. It has the ideal size for families or small private groups wishing to experience a unique and exclusive tour. We are serving the already legendary Dreamcatcher Fusion BBQ with fresh island products and cool drinks.
We chartered the boat for our friends during our stay in Mauritius. From the day I contacted Eva to make requests about the trip everything was smooth and easy. She was helpful in every way even with providing us with contacts for transport and a sunset cruise we also wanted to arrange. Our time on the boat was fantastic! The service was excellent and the trip itself breathtaking. We were one of two boats that were able to dock at flat island which made the stay on the island more private. They cooked a really nice lunch for us that were served on the beautiful island and we all loved it. From what I understood they normally served lunch on the boat, but from my point of view the island location for the lunch was perfect. We all enjoyed the whole day we spent onboard and would love to come back again when we return to Mauritius next time. Once again, a big applause to the owners and the crew for a really nice day on the boat.

Interesting to see different sea life on the beach and the locals going out there to pick shelffish / fishing. What a nice slow pace life.
What i like about this beach:
1-Quiet ; i was there on a a Friday so may be not so many visitors
2-The water here is clearer than Grand Baie public beach
NOTE:
-This is a small beach, it doesnt take long to finish strolling this beach.
-There are a fair bits that area shallow so shoukd you wish to bring your child uou are ok; dont forget to bring one of those fishing nets; there are many little fishy out there.

The location close to my holiday accommodation is what led me to this operator. There has recently been a change of ownership and the center is clean, friendly and reasonably priced.
What I liked : new equipment, efficient and friendly staff, choice of dive sites, flexibility, extra option to have a meal after dives, clean HQ, thorough dive briefings.
What I didn't like : crew smoking on the boat, inconsistency of service - on first day's dive we had juice and biscuits on the boat with juice and coffee on return - second day's dive we didn't. I haven't dived before in Mauritius so perhaps this is how things are here, but having to disassemble, wash and pack away rented equipment myself was unusual.
We dived coral Gardens and turtle point. Turtle point was true to its name and we had a sighting of 5 turtles.

We spent 2 days with Vishal exploring the south of the island. He explained us a lot and took us to places you might not find on your own. He was very flexible concerning our wishes and gave us enough time to visit everything without stress. Vishal speaks english and german very well. His car is very clean and airconditioned.
