My son who turned 10 had such a great birthday party, very well organised by Laura and all the team at the track. Every single go-kart was perfect and the day went so well. We really can’t thank everyone enough ????????

Sandown Sports is a great sports facility within the grounds of Sandown Racecourse. We have an outdoor ski slope that offers club bookings, coaching, birthday parties and more on ski slopes, sledging and ringos. Within the club, we have a fully equipped gym, squash courts and a bar with an incredible view from our outdoor terrace.
My 8YO son had a really great time at Sandown’s Adventure Camp this summer - he went for 3 days and each day was packed with fun and adventurous sports and games. He was entertained, exercised and made new friends. The camp leader and the rest of the team inspired confidence and were charming and kept the kids’ attention. Big thumbs up from my son.

After a hellishly busy morning, but a brilliant early lunch, I required exercise. Weather was pretty good, so stopped off at Esher Common, on the way back from Cobham. To the uninitiated - a cracking walk starts at West End Esher Common. Loads of free parking along the road near St George’s Church and the Sports Club Pavilion and Bar. The pathway starts near the West End Esher Common sign/board, then leads you in the direction of the main road betwixt Esher and Cobham. If one so desires, you can then traverse the main road, and head for Black Pond on the opposite side, which is well worth a visit.

Had a wonderful time on my first visit to Claremont with my 3 month old daughter. Due to the beautiful weather it was busy and the car park was well managed with the really friendly staff who were working. We had a lovely welcome by the lady on the entrance to the gardens too. There was clear signage for the one way system around the gardens and hand sanitizer at the entrance and exit which was appreciated, it felt like they were doing all they could to ensure a safe visit. The seating in the outdoor cafe area was well spaced, clean and tidy where I enjoyed a yummy hot chocolate. All in all a really lovely visit and I will definitely go back.

Having driven through Esher the night before, I had noticed that the cinema had certainly reopened ???? and due, I assume, to the delayed releases of so many films, they were showing some older films - including The Dark Knight Rises. Bearing in mind that the release of ‘Tenet’ (also a Christopher Nolan film) had been delayed, this made logical sense ????(also ironic because Robert Pattinson is the new Batman - NB I can assuage any concerns about this casting, after being surprised to learn he CAN act after seeing him in ‘The Lighthouse.’) The cinema has no car park, however, there are plenty of places to park - 1) in the slip road opposite, in front of the shops 2) in the huge Elmbridge Civic Centre car park behind those same shops 3) in the spaces, on the road, behind The Bear pub Due to, again being a miserable curmudgeon, I opted to go alone, hence it was easy to get a ticket for the 1930h showing. Staff - as always are friendly, polite, and helpful. The cinema had been, also, extremely well prepared for reopening under the current circumstances. Credit to the staff and management! Seating as per usual was very comfy and the cinema pristinely tidy. The film itself? If you’ve never seen it on the big screen, it’s worth seeing it, unequivocally. Or....if you saw it before, it’s worth seeing again There is no doubt, for me, that the 5 minute fight scene is worth seeing, alone, for the brilliance in how it is done and shot. Pure pugilism with no atypical, over used martial artists, which are too common in mainstream films. It’s about pure power, anger and brawling. No music, no score to it - which adds to the ‘sound’ of the fight scene, the intensity, the drama. The brilliance of Christopher Nolan ???? Glad to see it again, on the big screen, at a very good cinema.

Over the years we have had many visit to Garsons and seen it grown into the huge place that it is now. This time we took my grandson fruit picking which he thoroughly enjoy. The strawberries are grown in high level troughs so there is no bending to pick the fruit which is great for slightly older people who may want to go. Have picked our fill of strawberries and raspberries we went for a wander round the shop and garden centre which has so much to offer and I defy anyone to leave without buying something. Lastly we stopped off at the restaurant for a coffee and a cold drink. The restaurant is large with lots of seating inside and out. I can't comment on the food as we did not eat but the cake looked impressive.
