The Fort also known as Bonifacio Global City is a mixed use development area with tidy streets, parks, offices, residential skyscrapers, public art displays and various dining, shopping and entertainment venues. The district is named after the main Philippine Army camp in Metro Manila, Fort Andres Bonifacio. Andres Bonifacio is a Philippine revolutionary hero.
It was liberating to stroll down the streets with kids in tow, one with a trike and another with a scooter. After some walking, u can cool down and buy some drinks from the kiosks or adults can enter malls and buy food for take out. U can also rent a bike, there is an exhibit on plants when we visited and maybe more activities at night. Just wear masks and faceshields and of course, maintain social distancing.

BGC is one of the most posh places in Manila. It’s a popular and high-end business district with plenty of business activities and areas for shopping, dining, and entertainment. For posh malling experience, Uptown Bonifacio and The Grand Canal at McKinley Hill are great places. The Grand Canal also has that Italian feel in it and you can enjoy riding the gondola. Market Market and SM Aura are huge malls. Market Market has plenty of options for food, and has plenty of transportation options to other parts of Manila. Bonifacio High Street is an outdoor shopping and dining strip with shops at both side of the pedestrian street which has a relaxing park-like vibe. When you’re in BGC, you’ll feel like you’re transferred into a different world if you entered from the somewhat chaotic environs. Within the business district, electric cables are buried underground, so the city views are orderly. There are green spaces and plenty of high rise buildings. You could also walk from one end of the city to the other, and the air quality is much better compared to most areas in Metro Manila.

Plenty of stores with a mixture of larger department stores including SM and smaller stores so you can find what you’re looking for, many food outlets including fast food type places downstairs and a range of restaurants on the top floor means you can eat according to your budget and taste. Also plenty of parking so usually there’s no Ling queues unlike some other places in town.

Market Market has everything you’ll need if you’re visiting and are limited to one area. This mall has a mixture of inside mall features like food courts and shopping kiosks and more inside to include a movie theater and play house. What’s more is it also has an outdoor market that also has more restaurants and fresh produce shopping. It’ll satisfy your taste buds from small food kiosks to full sized restaurants. Forgot to add that it also has a complete department store AND a full sized regular grocery shopping center complete with fresh meat and produce in the basement. If you can get a hotel in the area it is truly complete. Very near to St Luke’s Global!

This wasn't a planned outing, but boy! I am sooo glad we came here. This hidden gem is located Taguig City, you feel you are in a different part of the world. Unlike the canals located at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, this canal is OPEN! The views, the look and will make you feel like you are in Italy, but the hospitality and great service is FULL Filipino.
