Madhur Sree Madanantheshwara-Siddhivinayaka Temple is a popular Shiva and Ganapathi temple located 7 km from Kasaragod town, on the banks of Mogral river, locally known as Madhuvahini. During rainy season the river will flow to the temple when water level is above our thies.Its an interesting phenomenon. Though the main deity of this temple is Lord Shiva known as Madanantheshwara, meaning the god who killed Kama, the god of desires, more importance is given to Lord Ganapathi, who is installed facing south in the main sanctum itself.

The Ananthapura Lake temple, the only lake temple in Kerala, is a picturesque temple erected in the middle of a lake in Kasaragod district. This temple is believed to be the original seat or moolasthanam, of Lord Ananthapadmanabha, also the deity of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple of Thiruvananthapuram. The lake which is about two acres wide is consistently nourished with spring water. Right corner of the temple, there is a cave, and popular belief is that, the deity proceeded to Thiruvananthapuram, through this cave.
