It's a beautiful place. It is the tomb of Adil Shah. Complex has a beautiful pond for ablution and a beautiful mosque. Well preserved. Shoes can't be worn at this place, hence avoid going in hot sun as the floor is too hot. Tickets can be booked online. We booked ours on bookmyshow app. It was a pleasant experience.

the largest gun is placed between two bastions in the fort. It was named so after the battle of Tallikotta, when the Vnjaynagar empire was defeated . the gun is 4.5 metres in length and the diameter is 1.5 meters. The canon weighs 55 tons .its muzzle is shaped like the open mouth of a lion holding an elephant in its jaws. It was so big that the British could not shift it to England at the end of their rule in India.

This is an unfinished mausoleum of Ali Adil Shah II, who wanted to build a mausoleum of unmatched architectural quality. It was planned that 12 arches would be placed vertically as well as horizontally surrounding the tomb. However, for unknown reasons the work on the structure was left incomplete: only two arches were raised vertically. Rumour has it that the construction of the mausoleum was stopped because once completed its shadow would touch the Gol Gombaz. It is also believed that before the Bara Kaman could be completed in 1672, Ali Adil Shah II was murdered by his own father Muhammad Adil Shah, who did not want the Bara Kaman to lessen the glory of the Gol Gumbaz. Bara Kaman has the tombs of Ali Adil Shah II, his wife Chand Bibi and his daughters.

Not being a popular explored destination, this magnificient huge statue is toward the outskirts of Bijapur city of karnataka.. There are some good lawns and shops to offer decent food stuff to devotees. Maintained neatly by a seva trust, the shiva statue stand s as a remarkable attraction of Bijapur city. One can also find a small play area for kids with few play options.. overall a nice weekend attraction for the people nearby
