Essence Productions is an independent theatre production company that offers night theatre at Werribee Park each weekend all year round. There are two shows 'What Was That?' performed in the historic mansion and 'Down to Earth' performed at the historic farm. It’s founder (and author of the work), Alaine Beek, has also written, produced and tour her multi-award winning play, Point of No Return - a riveting drama based on the real events at our first boys prison, Point Puer, Tasmania. It is currently touring to Albury Entertainment Centre and Griffith Regional Theatre July 24 and 26, 2019. Alaine, with her acting team, are currently working on her new play ‘The Scrunch Test’, based on the true story of her Scottish parents in Australia on Christmas Day.
