We just arrived in Elkin, and it was a rainy day. We wanted to check out some wineries in the area, and this was close to our hotel. They have a very nice covered deck where we enjoyed some great wine. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the wine and the tastings that we had. I would recommend!!!

The Reeves Theater & Cafe in historic downtown Elkin, NC is a home for music and farm-to-table dining in the heart of the foothills. We feature musicians and entertainers from our own region and around the world. Our lobby hosts a farm-to-table cafe and bar serving a wide variety of local wine and beer. We hope to see you at the Reeves!
The previous day, a patron of 222 told us about Reeves Theater & Cafe, and said they had open mic night on Tuesday nights. My husband and I were unsure of whether they were open during the day, so we were walking downtown exploring and were impressed by the appearance/decor of the building and went inside when we saw people in there. The decor inside is awesome because it is so classy and bold, yet sophisticated. The food there is farm-to-table style, and they have a nice selection of wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages. I wish I tried the food because it smelled so good! After walking around the theater behind the bar area, my husband and I decided we would come back for open mic night, which was awesome as well. Open mic night did not disappoint! I've never been to one before, so I felt like it was going to be kind of awkward; but it was a lot of great people showcasing their talent! And these people aren't just from Elkin--they were from Raleigh, Goldsboro, etc. We met a lot of really cool people and had a great experience at Reeves Theatre & Cafe, and I really do think it is a true gem. I'll tell all my friends about it!

Located along Elkin Creek on top of a hill overlooking a over 100 year old mill, this is a beautiful spot for wine, food and a quite afternoon. They also have several cabins for rent right on the property. Go there, it will not disappoint

Adagio Vineyards and Winery features fine wines and hand crafted violins. Adagio, a musical term meaning slowly with passion, describes our love of music and wine. The wines have musical names, with monthly violin concerts. At Adagio, all five senses are met with exceptional elegance
Laura & Mark from Charlotte: Only 60 minute drive up I-77 from our neighborhood off of West W.T. Harris Blvd. Our fantastic neighbor Nicole made arrangements for our party of 22 neighbors. Staff were welcoming and quite knowledgeable of the many wine varieties and flavors. It was a fun experience personally capping and labeling bottles. Happily departed with several bottles including a winery favorite: the semi-sweet white “Coda” vintage. Many local wineries within 15 minutes. Thanks for a delicious experience!

Although not as big and fancy as a lot of breweries, skull Camp's beer and BBQ are better than a lot of the big guys'. Their stout was one of the top two I've tasted, just head and shoulders above most others. I just wish it had been available in cans for a trip back to Maine! I would like to have taken a big box of biscuit sliders also. The meat is tender, juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of smoke. Very nice and accommodating people work there as well. Outstanding!!
