Vancouver Island's Theatre Destination. We are a vibrant, established and fully professional theatre nestled in the seaside community of Chemainus, BC. We feature some of the finest performers and performances in Canada, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island. Enjoy theatre to the fullest, with our terrific complements: The Playbill Dining Room, with live music and show-themed buffet; and The Gallery Gift Shop, featuring the art of BC artisans.
Being regular theatre goers for many years, when we saw an opportunity to support the Theatre we registered immediately for a dinner/show and we’re very pleased that we did. The food ,service and Michael Clarke presenting the Sam Cooke story were all excellent The only suggestion we would have is heated dinner plates for the main course which would keep the food warmer, which was excellent for flavour and quality but could be served a tic warmer Cheers J. This candy shop was amazing! Small but brimming with every sort of candy you could think of. The decorations were also quite something. You can also get samples to whet your appetite.

RIOT BREWING CO. IS AN AWARD-WINNING CRAFT BREWERY Located in the seaside town of Chemainus, BC, famous for it’s murals and inexplicably badass skate park. Stop in for a tour, a sample, a flight, or even a whole glass of beer, because the local government trusts you to handle more than a tiny sip, unlike some other cities where they don’t allow lounges. Stay for the afternoon, enjoy our gigantic patio, bring the kids, bring the dog. Spark up the fire pit for a weenie roast or destroying old photos of your ex. Play some board games or free pinball. Want to take some Riot beer to a party, funeral, intervention, or home to drink in the tub? You can. We fill growlers. We also have 650ml bombers and 6-packs of cans right by the door - super quick for when you're late for work. We also host a lot of events in our lounge, from Open Mic, to Live Music Shows and Comedy Shows, there is always something happening at Riot! Make sure to visit our Facebook Event Page. LIFE'S A RIOT!
Love this place, they are fun all around and do great things for the community! I’ve been there for a few different occasions and have always been treated well. Definitely make a stop here on your way up or down island!

Its always a good sign when you go into a visitors centre and the staff welcome you and spend time showing you around. You feel welcomed and special. That's what i experienced when i came here during August. The staff could not be more friendly or helpful. I walked about with tons of info about Chemainus and practically every region on the island. Well done....great local products on sale too.

This is a lovely small local museum run by folks passionate about their community. Admission is by donation and they sell a booklet that describes all the mural artwork located throughout the village. If you look carefully you could spend at least a few hours looking over the collection of local and historical artifacts. There are a few things for the kids to look at, but they might not have the patience to look at the treasures here.

Stopped in here in the middle of summer and got a taste for Christmas! Christmas music is playing, the shop keeper was singing and if I didn't know where I was and what season it was I would have thought there could be snow falling outside at any moment! Too much fun! A lot & I do mean a lot of Christmas ornaments to chose from and a variety of artwork and other items to do with Christmas throughout the shop. Bought my son his 2018 tree ornament and was very happy with my purchase and with being able to look through a unique store in a great little Island town!
