Barns of Rose Hill is a vibrant 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts venue and community center located in historic downtown Berryville, Virginia. Our venue was formerly two historic dairy barns from the early 20th century that have been respectfully restored and renovated into one unique building with superb acoustic engineering and modern amenities. We offer a diverse variety of free and affordable programs throughout the year for people of all ages. Our programs include live music, exhibits, films, workshops and classes, jam sessions, community programs, and more to fulfill our mission to enrich lives through programs in the performing, visual, and literary arts.
We started coming for the Celtic music, then the bluegrass. Last night we saw the Classic Concert Orchestra play Scott Joplin and 1920’s jazz. The intimate venue for small ensembles ensures a great time. One reviewer said to eat ahead. I say check ahead because there is good barbecue occasionally. We’ll be back. Discover upcoming events on their fb page.

Veramar Vineyard is located of Rt 7 in the northern Shenandoah Valley AVA of Virginia. Right over the Blue Ridge Mountains from Loudoun County, Veramar is a short drive from Leesburg or Winchester, and easily accessible from Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Frederick, MD, Harpers Ferry, WV, and the Interstate 81 corridor. This hidden gem, nestled in the rolling hills near the Shenandoah River, has an expansive views of the mountains from the 28 acres of vineyards and the rustic yet elegant tasting room and terrace. In this idyllic setting we grow Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc, Traminette, Norton, Albariño, Vidal Blanc and Malbec wine grapes, and make Virginian wine across a spectrum of varietals and blends. Each wine distinctively expresses our dedication to premium Virginia winemaking. Our tasting room is open year-round, seven days a week, and opens daily at noon. T
Out with friends on an annual visit to northern Virginia wineries and decided to trek out to Veramar. Easy to find location, well marked and GPS gave us no issues. Walking around the building from parking lot to tasting room showed off the wonderful view of the mountains and vines and we were warmly greeted inside. The wines are done in a French style. No mention of cost as you walked in or approached the tasting bar which was nice but can be deceiving if you aren't prepared (we had looked online and it was $12 for a tasting list of about 6-8 wines). The wine was on the dry end and a nice mix of whites, a rose, some reds, and a white mulled wine. We were even poured a wine from the reserve/wine club list which was a nice addition. All three of us enjoyed the wines and the ambiance of the place. There is a nice patio which I'm sure on a warmer and sunnier day is a great place to enjoy some time with the views.

We came to 612 Vineyard because of Traminette wine which not all local wineries have. It was our first visit, and we definitely will be back to 612! This place is amazing! The view is stunning at any time of a year. It definitely belongs to the top five best views Virginia wineries. You could enjoy the beautiful scenery sitting in the yard or terrace or through the window being inside. The ambiance is very inviting. The wines were good. Of course, we tried Traminette but took home surprisingly delicious Riesling. Wine is always a matter of personal taste, but the venue itself is a real hidden treasure.
