You’ve found the perfect place to stay in the heart of DC’s newest neighborhood, Ivy City. Buzzing with new restaurants, bars, and breweries from some of the city’s best chefs, you’ll be at the center of it all. Whether planning a single night or an extended stay, we bet you can’t help but have some fun while you’re here!
This isn’t a hotel as listed and not at all what pics look like online! It’s a run down dirty motel. The area itself was sketchy. The rooms were decent size, but dirty. My sheets had cigarette burns on them, then “clean” sheets had stains. Walls were dirty or all banged up. Random people fighting outside at all hours of the night and banging on my door at 1am. I felt extremely unsafe there alone with my son. The only good thing about this place was the Target next door! Worst stay I’ve ever had!

Standing only a block from The White House and across the street from the McPherson Square Metro Station, this completely renovated classical building has a fascinating appeal. From its historic Beaux-Arts style facade to its premium resident amenities- rooftop terrace, fitness center, lounge, and concierge services- this completely upgraded masterpiece symbolizes luxury itself. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with any utensils and appliances you may need.
I booked 9 nights in a 2 bedroom with my family of 4 adults for an Easter/Spring holiday - we were so excited, 9 nights is quite an investment! We believed the "Luxury" promise depicted by the beautiful photos and the promise of 24 hour emergency service - what a mistake. We arrived around 9 pm on Friday night and were given keys to a rundown 2 bedroom that reminded me of a college dorm. Walls in horrible disrepair, lumpy beds, saggy/ripped furniture, burned out light bulbs over both bathroom sinks - nothing about this apartment implied luxury. When we went to the concierge downstairs to inquire about an alternative we were told they just handled the front desk and door - nothing to do with the apartment. The 24 emergency phone line went unanswered for over an hour and when we did finally reach a representative we were told we would have to spend the night and work it out the following day. But the following day was no better - the weekend staff was only able to offer a slightly better 2 bedroom apartment (honestly, by that time I was wondering why we weren't give the better room to start) and did not have the authority to allow a cancellation - we would have to wait until Monday to get management approval. I was furious by the whole set-up and the staff's inability to make it right - there was no way I was spending another night in this place . We checked out Saturday at 12:30 pm after exhausting ourselves and the weekend staff. On Monday we were granted a refund, but charged for 2 nights because we checked out at 12:30 instead of 11... This place is terrible - barely a 1 star.

A timeless blend of historic architecture, stylish shops, and dining — the Georgetown area offers something for every traveler. This charming red brick building has been tastefully updated with modern amenities and plenty of natural light. Stroll along the Potomac River and take in the dazzling D.C. skyline. Or head to our nearby lounge and 24/7 fitness center, just two blocks away from Georgetown C&O.
The Sonder Georgetown is a strange place. It is an old 1960s office building converted into furnished apartments for short-term lease, which you access through an app (there's no reception desk, and you MUST use the app to reach a human being and wait till somebody comes to the site in case of a problem). The prices are cheaper than a hotel, the rooms are VERY large, and the location near M Street shopping in Georgetown is good. However, two serious problems. First, while the rooms have been refurbished nicely, the building and its services and plumbing are old. Past reviews of this location noted problems with the heat or AC or showers or toilets. I figured that these were just unlucky souls, but sure enough, our AC conked out on the first night of our planned five-day stay. We used the app to request repair, and the gentleman who came was very prompt and nice, but the unit required extensive repair, so we had to wait around in a stuffy 84-degree room (the windows don't open) until 4:00 p.m. on the second day when another room became available. The other issue, at least as of June 2022, is that there is a loud, unpleasant, high-pitched screeching sound in the courtyard in front of the building, which carries into the rooms facing the front of the building. I used the app to ask if they could stop it, but they say that the noise is coming from another property and they are "doing their best"; in the meantime, they offered to give me earplugs (no kidding). Four days later, it's still screeching away. I considered trying to move to another hotel, but discovered that I could ALMOST mask the noise by keeping the fan in my room running 24 hours a day. So, if you want a large room or one-bedroom apartment in Georgetown, you can take a chance on the Sonder, but you're risking running into a nightmare like the ones described below. Buyer beware!

I know almost every hotel in the area, The Concordia is by far the best hotel. Rooms are very spacious and super clean. Bed is very comfortable with high-end linens. I couldn't have had a better experience!
