St. Ives boasts a quartet of golden-sand beaches. Sheltered coves draw swimmers and sun-worshippers, but water-sports aficionados visit St. Ives for great surfing, windsurfing and water-skiing conditions. And on your way there, keep your eyes peeled for a dude with seven wives. You never know when nursery rhymes might come true.

I had the most wonderful few treatments with Sally while on holiday for a week in St Ives - a head, shoulder and back massage, and some reflexology. I had a text exchange with Sally when I was making an initial enquiry and found her to be extremely responsive, warm, friendly and professional. Meeting her was a true joy and her treatments were incredibly nourishing and restorative. I've had quite a lot of massage in my life and can safely say Sally's touch, presence and sensitivity was one of the best I've had the pleasure of encountering. I felt lighter after seeing her, and felt myself to be in really safe hands. If I lived in St Ives I would have regular treatment with her without a doubt. My mum had a treatment too, and felt the same - thank you Sally!

I received an offer for a facial and manicure when booking in at the Carbis Bay Hotel for last week. I'm so thrilled that I took this up. The setting is unbelievable with views of the sea and a chance to relax upstairs before the treatments. I was greeted warmly when I arrived with just a little paperwork to complete to stay safe The facial with Zoe (senior therapist) has spoilt me completely for any other facial in the future and lasted a full hour.. . Zoe has a lovely, gentle touch and gentle manner. She included a scalp massage with hand and arm massages which were all completely unexpected. In talking to her afterwards, I believe that she gauges what your personal needs are on the day. . I was wrapped in warm towels with a roll under my knees in a superbly warm and pretty room and honestly don't think the experience could have been better, it was just sublime. The manicure was equally professional and has already lasted over a week - so unusual for me. On leaving I was delighted to find that you can use the spa as a non-resident and, for the record, I would pay the full price on any future occasion for such an unforgettable and revitalising experience. Thank you all at the Spa x

On Tuesday 8/9 I visited the spa whilst staying at the harbour hotel. Initially I had difficulty arranging an appointment but with perseverance on my part I was successful! Maybe this could be something to look at? My therapist was Chloe who was drafted in from the Mullen Cove Hotel I admit I was a bit anxious due to Covid etc but Chloe immediately put me at ease and the treatment was a breeze from then on I had the Hollistic body treatment which lasted two hours which flew by! I was asked if there were any areas I didn’t want treated (ie stomach) and type of firmness I liked. Also I was given a choice of different fragranced oils. This started with a body scrub followed by a shower in the room ( paper pants provided a look only the brave could pull off ;) ) Thereafter a wonderful full body massage including neck and a mini facial. I can’t recommend enough and if you’re worried at all don’t be as the treatment area was spotless and the therapist very invested in your comfort. You will come out with your hair a bit oily but fragranced and feeling very relaxed. Fabulous!
