Lost Trail Powder Mountain

Great skiing at lower prices with smaller crowds.

Reviewed By Montana4570 - Sula, United States

The Lost Trail Ski resort is one of the best jewels in Western Montana. It is the historical location of the Lost Trail as depicted in Lewis and Clark's journals. Except for the highways in and out of the area, the wonderful ski lodge and superb slopes, most of the high alpine summit forest is still much the same as the explorers and crew saw it back in 1805. This ski location is an outstanding family and expert skiers paradise with a myriad of lifts and long sloping runs for all skill levels. The family owned site is a true treasure in the southern Bitterrroot. Anyone wanting a great get-a-way can enjoy good food and drink along with a family oriented atmosphere with great prices for every budget, from equipment rentals and classes to local gifts and souvenirs. Right now the snow is exceptional and at an all-time depth!!! Enjoy but, stay safe.

Best Ski Mountain around. Prices are half of what another nearby mountain charges and you can park right in front of the lodge. No lines for the lifts . This is a local favorite and once you've been here you'll see why. I really enjoy this place.

Sorry guys. We were here in the summer and it was attractive as well. We decided to go immediately to the Snowbowl. There were no skiing and no one went to the hotels. We could see the skylift really close. However, they were not taking people on the Snowbowl. The hotels were beautiful when it was in the season. We had fun to enjoy. The mountains were beautiful! We could see where the people who skied in the winter. Worthwhile to see!
