Basilica Of The National Shrine Of Our Lady Of Fatima

Viewing all the international Nativity scenes that were just spectacular and talking with Father Roy was such an entertaining evening. Plus walking around the Festival of Light s on the grounds was enjoyable. However, the fish fry they offer - well we never got served because after paying and waiting an hour and a half to be served we asked for our money back because we were told it would still be another half hour for our dinners! No one told us that and come to find out they only have a couple fryers and people cooking! Go for the lights but say out of the cafeteria!

Freedom Crossing Monument

Monument on the Lewiston Waterfront commemorating Underground Railroad Conductors Harriet “Moses” Tubman & local resident Josiah Tyran helping slaves escape across the river to freedom in Canada. Many Lewiston residents at the time helped people to freedom and our community is proud of their history of helping slaves escape. Those who assisted runaway slaves risked jail and having all their property & possessions confiscated if they were discovered. This is a great opportunity to teach young children about how regular citizens stepped forth to help their fellow man. A great spot for a photo at a historic spot. This place along the waterfront is scenic and beautiful with a nice view of Canada. Spend a few moments to admire the scenery and the bravery of those who came before us. Take a photo to remind yourself freedom is not free, it has been fought for and earned for us all.

Queenston-Lewiston Bridge

Love the Lewiston area and also Niagara-On-The-Lake in Canada. There should be a ferry between both places but this is the next best thing for tourists who want to see the quaint and not yet over-populated village on the mighty niagara..Niagara County's best kept secret. Shhhhhhh! Lewiston!
