We are passionate about British design made right here in the British Isles and have plenty for everyone to see, hear, smell, taste and touch. We source, where possible, products made with sustainable or recycled materials, contributing positively to the environment and the UK economy. We have something here for everyone including a craft area safely tucked away from the entrance to keep young children occupied whilst you enjoy looking at what we have to offer. We play great British music every day. Dogs are welcome and we are pushchair and wheelchair friendly. This is a unique relaxed destination where everyone is welcome.
There are lots of unique gifts that you won't see anywere else and the prices are very reasonable. Staff are friendly too. So nice to be greeted when you enter a shop. We bought beautiful jewellery, marmalade and cards. They have gorgeous valentine day cards too.

Stand at the centre of where England's future was fought. Imagine and discover the stories unfold, brought to life in the exhibition and in audio as you follow the footsteps of the Norman & Saxon soldiers. Watch the compelling film about the Norman invasion, then plan your own attack on the country's most famous battlefield. See the new wood carved sculpture trail around the battlefield, experience the stunning 360 views from the new rooftop viewing platforms, and take your time to explore the monastic ruins. For kids we now also have a new kids natural play area, and a fun kids trail. Make sure you experience the atmosphere for yourself.
English Heritage have done a great job with this...very well set out and the story and history is brilliant to hear and see...the battlefield walk is great and the audio on your phone is easy to use. The Abbey ruins are fascinating and the spot where Harold fell is prominent.

We are a small family run plant nursery, farm shop and cafe established 40 years ago. The farm is nestled in a quiet rural location, conveniently close to the 1066 walk to Battle and within a few miles of Hastings and Bexhill. The nursery and farm shop sell a wide range of high quality plants and produce, many grown and hand made on the premises, with friendly and knowledgeable staff always available to help with any questions.
Lovely cake, plus alternatives for milk. Staff are lovely, friendly and very helpful. Only downside is choosing which fabulous cake to have! On a plus, they do take outs!

Saw this while walking along the inside wall of Battle Abbey and just had to go across the street and take a look. This 900 year old church was just stunning with a tremendous amount of history - the grave stones are fascinating each one with a story to tell. The grounds are just a slow walk around and the inside was available at certain times of the day. Another place to visit while in Battle !
Battle is home to the very spot where King Harold fell during the Battle of Hastings. An event so significant it completely changed the course of English history There are many fine buildings in Battle, a large number of which date from Medieval times. Towards the northern end of the High Street, the medieval Almonry and its gardens, originally built in 1090, is now home to the Museum.
