Those seeking out the full diversity of Japanese cuisine will want to visit: a city with a ramen-inspired theme park is one that embraces and pampers foodies.

Great place/relaxing

Reviewed By Mike D

Only stayed 1 day (overnight) and it was really great. The bus stop is basically on the main street in front of the hotel. Very convenient. We got there early by a couple hours. They told us no check in until 3 of course, but they guided us to the lobby to relax with refreshments until 3. Very polite. When the room is ready, they grab our luggage bags for us and show us the room and where everything is and how to use it. Wasn't expecting this. The prepared course dinner/breakfast were really good. I have never had these kinds of meals before. Maybe there are better ones, but it was tasty and the presentation was great. Of the 2, I preferred the breakfast. I have never been to a onsen, so I don't know if this one is top of the line. But te facilities felt good to me. There was plenty of showers. The locker/changing room is a bit small. There is 2 indoor pools and an outdoor 1, and a sauna. It was middle of the week and not vacation season, but it wasn't crowded and there was plenty of room. It is open to 3am as well. The water felt great, so relaxing. There was always refreshments available and all the staff were very helpful. Highly recommend.

As soon as you step into the lobby, you are greeted by a courtyard and a stage adorned with decorations reflecting the current season. While boasting a central location in the middle of the hot spring town, with just ten rooms per floor, this inn offers an atmosphere of quiet relaxation, and a traditional Japanese aesthetic permeates every corner of its Japanese style rooms. You can enjoy the daily changes in scenery from Fugetsu on the top floor, or the beauty of the seasons from Momiji Yu. There are two large communal baths supplied with spring water from three hot springs, including the famous hot spring Shikanoyu, in addition to three private baths available for reservation. A Hokkaido Food Meister explores the entire prefecture in search of the freshest ingredients, which are carefully prepared by Japanese chefs for the Japanese kaiseki dinner. There is also a drinks selection, with plenty of excellent Hokkaido sakes on offer.

Relaxing and spacious

Reviewed By hctu

The whole hotel gives you a relaxed vibe. For one, you could sit and listen to music while enjoying free drinks and snacks in the lounge. For another, after taking a hot bath in the onsen, you can further relax yourself with the comfort of massage chair. The reception is welcoming and helpful (note: I speak a little bit of Japanese). The room is well-maintained and spacious. The supper is flavorful, while the breakfast buffet is also enjoyable.

Best ryokan to go if you Want peace and calmness and with excellent detailed services. Only adults and with less than 20 suites. You can definitely have peace of mind to rest and relax calmly. Food is beyond my expectation Service is impeccable; felt pampered and taken care of the moment we park our car at lobby. And the most friendly and talented bartender, Mr Narita to end your night with great drinks and conversation!

Large rooms with hospitable staff

Reviewed By GrantL132

This ryokan is off of Sapporo and is about 1 hour out from the core of the city. Situated on the side of the freeway, you’ll enter through a heated driveway into an unexpected property that is unassuming, unnoticeable and unpretentious. The foyer has an indoor freestanding chimney with a large seating area that serves onigiri (rice balls), miso soup, Burdock tea, sweet potato, and other snacks from dinner to late in the evening. Meals are served in the one restaurant on the property that serves traditional kaiseki breakfasts, and fusion Italian Japanese dinners. Attentive staff is eager to please with a large open kitchen and glass walls to look out into the property garden. The fusion is daring and pairing is well thought out, and when they decide to choose higher quality ingredients, will the dinners start receiving higher reviews. Rooms each have a private onsen, living room and bedroom. Quite spacious compared to many other ryokan’s with generous amenities provided such as free drinks, pop, juice, water, coffee, etc. Overall a great place to stay and while their food is a little high on sodium, and their staff need a bit more training, you have to give this property some time considering it opened in mid-2018. Great value and very caring and nice staff.
