Don’t be swayed to stay at this resort just because the Russian President Vladimir Putin stayed here, expecting luxury and world-class service. My guess is that might have been the case when he did visit a long time ago in 2003 and 2009 but given today’s 5-star resort benchmarks, the hotel is far from spectacular, although the views and the surrounding area are! - The outdated look and feel of the resort is ready for an overall upgrade and renovation. - Both of our suites were dirty when we arrived and had not been properly cleaned or stocked with enough towels or robes for all of the guests. Dust, dirt, and hair on the floors was visible with a naked eye all around. The daily room cleaning service was inadequate and substandard. Uncomfortable bedding, outdated furnishings and decor (especially in the hallways). Very slow room service. The hotel’s check-in process was slow and the lady (the administrator) had a confused look on her face and very few answers to any of our questions about the rooms/resort (she just didn’t know the basics). We could easily hear noise and loud music from the adjacent suits (really poor soundproofing) and had to call the administrator late at night to complain. - The staff consists of mostly young students, seasonal workers lacking professional hospitality training. To be fair, they try to be nice and accommodating but really have no idea what they are doing. Think “Motel 6” type of service. The staff and service in the medical center / spa was terrible and rude. - A very mediocre buffet. Limited selection and variety. Low quality ingredients. Watered-downed juices taste like colored water. Slow busboy service. Lots of flies inside the dining area was bothersome. On the positive note, the resort offers plenty of outdoor and indoor activities and excursions for the guests. The resort feels very secluded. The sauna, banya, pools, beach area, the resort’s private island, the surrounding nature, views, mostly make up for all of the aforementioned negatives and the factors that left us disappointed can be easily addressed. For the steep price of the resort those issues should not have been there in the first place.

French, Spanish and Italian wines available, quite astonishing. good coffee quality - considering this is in the middle of no where. all arrangements were smooth, eventually even a trip to the da-shi (that is a local artist) sculpture turned out a success despite initial hick ups thanks to our local tour guide lady Ms. Alice. forgot to mention that for the daring ones, there is a beach front at the lake plus a small beach club

I usually never write a review. But this time I decided to write. After a long period of my working time (I am a vice president at a big corporation in Chicago) my wife and our two kids are finally made a decision and spend our vacation with my elderly parents. My wife and I began to search for a suitable place next to New York City because it happened that our parents live in New York. After a short time of our search for my eyes, there was an announcement that there was a Russian camp “Skazka” I thought it was a great idea because our parents do not speak English well and our children will also have a good time talking to Russian-speaking children. But after my wife read various reviews, we have almost abandoned this idea to go to this place. After a short time of our meditation, we still decided to go. What a pleasant surprise awaited us when we saw this beautiful well looking camp and when we met the owner of this resort. This wonderful man his name is Dmitry, was very accommodating he welcome us, explained all the rules and told us about all the entertainment activities that will take place in the near future of our stay and offer a cottage located almost in the very center of the resort. Cottage was well build with all necessary equipment what we were needed (private bathroom, color TV, pleasantly very soft linens in our beds, nice and comfortable mattresses and very quiet A/C. Three meals a day in the well decorated dining room was just wonderful. During our stay, the food was very varied and very much tasty. Especially I liked Kiev cutlets it was just a wonderful delicacy, freshly baked rolls ever day, blintzes and pancakes with different fillings, meat ravioli (vareniki) plus much, much more… A+++)) During the day we were hiking in the mountains, collected mushrooms went fishing. In the evening we danced, had much fun sang in karaoke watched nice movies… Our children get along well with other kids and enjoyed very much swimming in the well-kept swimming pool and playing Ping Pong table. It was the BEST VACATION in our life that we will never forget and with great pleasure we will come again and again. I just do not understand these people who can say bad words about this wonderful resort “SKAZKA” Thank you once again to all the staff and particular to Dmitry!!!

Попал на масленицу, очень понравилось мероприятие. Можно было покататься на маламутах, поучаствовать в конкурсах, поесть блинов (бесплатно!) покататься на квадроцикле и аттракционах, была лошадка и верблюд. Цены очень приемлимые
