This was a stop along the way for us, 2 of the 3 of us turned 40 this year and we went on a 3 week adventure. Visiting the Movenpick Aswan was a refreshing stay. The rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms/showers were big enough for a couple of girls to be able to move around and get ready. All of the staff were so pleasant and friendly, especially guest relations and the restaurants. They even helped us celebrate our birthdays! Would absolutely stay here again and wished we were staying longer!

This really is an excellent Hilton hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and didn’t over pressure for tips. Food is good, and the rooms and general facilities are excellent. The pool area is also first class, with a beautiful view over the Nile. Even though it can get busy it doesn’t feel crowded. Overall an excellent choice if you plan a stay in Luxor.

Nestled upon the private "Kings Island" in the Nile that covers 660,000 sqm, the resort truly is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The idyllic, landscaped hotel grounds are expansive and home to the two main buildings, bungalows and three enticing swimming pool areas. The historic sights of Luxor, located only 4 kilometres from the hotel, can be easily reached by complimentary shuttle buses. The island is connected to the mainland only by a bridge and is virtually free of charge. This makes the resort an ideal location for families with children. The resort has been renovated in 2010 and extended by 320 rooms and suites in 10 elegant bungalows, new restaurants, a pool of 2,800 sqm in size and a SPA with fitness centre (from early-sommer 2011).
This place is amazing with 3 pools, magnificent gardens, numerous seating areas, a great bar, the staff are so friendly, the rooms are a good size - bungalow style and quiet. I would recommend anyone to stay here, right on the banks of the Nile and a quiet location. Loved it and would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has had many bad reviews and I was a little apprehensive about staying there. Yes the grounds and the rooms are a little tired and could do with some TLC but on the whole we had a very pleasant stay. Our room 319 was fine and had a lovely big balcony looking over to the West Bank of the Nile allowing for beautiful sunset views. It was cleaned every day and we had fresh bottles of water left every day. The breakfast and dinner were good and there was always a choice of at least four main courses to ensure everybody was catered for. The swimming pool was lovely, sunbeds clean and comfortable and the pool attendant was extremely friendly and attended our every need. He even made me a small posy of flowers. Access to the hotel is by boat from the last ferry point on the east Bank. Runs every ten minutes or so 24 hours a day and is free to use. We really had a pleasant stay and what we loved was the friendly nature of everyone we encountered there from reception staff to restaurant and bar staff to the shopkeepers selling souvenirs and the pool attendant. Lots of smiles, good banter and excellent service. They couldn't do enough for us. Sure the hotel was quiet but we were very satisfied with our stay.
