Thanks to its unique micro-climate, Nairn gets more hours of sunshine and less rainfall than other towns just a few miles away. Thankfully, this combination of abundant sun and no rain provide the perfect weather conditions for golf, as Nairn boasts two 18-hole championship courses. (And if you have time on your hands, there are 30 more courses within 60 miles.) Don't miss the town's jazz and film festivals, the latter of which was started by Nairn resident and actress Tilda Swinton (you'd know her if you saw her).

Spent an hour with a friend here yesterday for some of the fun archery. Great instructor, Andy, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Excellent compliance with Covid relations to ensure safety, but the venue lends itself to covid compliance, whilst still being able to have fun. The session was so enjoyable that I'll be keeping an eye out for their beginners course opening up again, so that I can become a member and start shooting more regularly.

Links golf at its best in Scotland: this 18-hole challenge is in a glorious setting overlooking the Moray Firth to the north and surrounded by fields of abundant heather, great waves of gorse and distant mountains providing a spectacular backdrop along this course's 6,722 yards.

Beautiful expanse of beach with the harbour in one direction and a children’s playground in the other, complete with sand dunes to sit and relax with your picnic. We parked near the coop and it was free parking too, as was the harbour. Nairn a lovely place to visit - you can finish your beach visit with a stroll round the town itself.

I haven’t played Nairn Dunbar for a number of years and was delighted to see the course remains largely the same with a few really impressive changes. I noticed a few new fairways bunkers that were really well placed. The biggest change was the removal of a lot of trees on 9, 10 & 11, I was very surprised as I liked the tree lined nature of the holes however, I think the changes have improved the holes. Without the tress you appreciate the natural contours of the fairway and rough and gives the holes much more of a links feel. Really impressed and can’t wait to come back.
