7 Other Outdoor Activities in Toronto That You Shouldn't Miss

August 18, 2021 Veronika Gaddis

We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

Ricoh Coliseum at Exhibition Place

Reviewed By 609darleneb - Toronto, Canada

If you like hockey and you are in Toronto, come to see the Toronto Marlies at the (newly re-named) Coca Cola Coliseum @ Exhibition place. Seeing a hockey game at the Coliseum is a wonderful, noisy, fun-filled event. Tickets are very reasonably priced and there's not a bad seat in the house. There are pre-game activities, in between period events and lots of music too. Families and groups of friends have a great time. The Marlies may not be as great as they were last year but there are some future Toronto Maple Leafs in the making. So if you visit Toronto but want to have a "small town, community feeling" then come out to a Marlies game! The Coliseum is easily accessible by public transit, GO transit and walking from Liberty Village area. Parking tip- there is a lot directly below the arena area and it is the same price (usually $15) as the surface lot. You stay warm, out of the elements and get this great deal!
