With its gondolas, canals, amazing restaurants, and unforgettable romantic ambiance, Venice is definitely a city for one's bucket list. Waterfront palazzos, palaces, and churches make drifting down the Grand Canal feel like cruising through a painting. To really experience Venice you must go to the opera or to a classical music performance, nibble fresh pasta and pastries, and linger in the exhibit halls of an art gallery. Label lovers will drool over the high-end shopping in Piazza San Marco.

Back in the 80s some film historians found out that Venice had already appeared in more than 380.000 films: feature films, short documentaries, cult and blockbuster movies. Thanks to its special and unique urban landscape, the city is often woven into the thread of the story, being too distinctive to fade into the background. Its canals, alleyways, and unusual architecture make Venice extremely cinematic. This is the reason why several films have cast the city as one of the main characters. Discover the main film locations of one of the world’s most photogenic cities through the eyes of great film directors for a glimpse of Venice's celluloid charisma. Enjoy the atmosphere of some the most iconic movies shot here ("The Tourist", Everyone says I love you", "The talented Mr. Ripley", "Spiderman: far from home", "Indiana Jones and the last Crusade", "Othello", "Casanova", "Moonraker", "The Young Pope", and many others) walk with us to discover the most magnificent movie set in the world.

Take a city tour to the locations of your favourite television series and enter the Commissario Brunetti’s world, known from Donna Leon's novels and their film adaptations. Along the way you will learn a lot about Venice! The fictional character of the Venetian "Commissario Brunetti" has been a success figure for years: discover personally on site the the wonderful film scene locations from Donna Leon's novels. It is not at all easy to find the “campos” and “palazzos” where Brunetti is often on the way, because most of them are off the city highlights and well know touristic sites. On the contrary, the films are mainly shot in a rather off the beaten path Venice, like the Questura. It is so beautiful when you find the places you fancied on TV or reading the books, from Brunetti's first cases, such as "Acqua Alta", through “Beastly thigs” or “Suffer the little children”, to the youngest, whereby Raffi and Chiara no longer want to live in Venice.

I booked a tour with these folks over the Christmas and New Year's holiday. As an avid photographer, my goal was to capture some of the more out of the way places in Venice, and to do it at night. Mark & Carla were wonderful guides, walking me around the city exploring dark corners, telling stories, and negotiating with locals to let us into areas that we generally wouldn't be able to see or even know about. They also provided, at the end of our walk, a map of the areas we explored, as well as information about other places and sights that I might be interested in exploring on my own. All in all, a great experience. These people take the time to do it right. Never felt rushed or intimidated or bound to a schedule or path.
The tour will take through the movie settings of a number of great movies shot in Venice, especially in Dorsoduro. The settings include Campo San Barnaba, Zenobio Palace, Campo Santo Stefano and Fondamenta Zattere and Santa Maria della Salute.
Inclusions: Qualified guide
Exclusions: Food and beverage, Hotels pickup/drop off
The tour was good however, there was a lot of focus on the art in the palace rather than the history. I would have preferred to hear more about the history of the palace, government and Venice in general over its long history
Accompanied by a local escort, take a walk in Venice in search of Commissario Brunetti's places. In Donna Leon's novels, Commissioner Guido Brunetti lives in the San Polo district, not far from the church of the same name, on the top floor of a palazzo near San Silvestro. In the films, however, he still lives in the San Polo district, but in a beautiful house with a terrace on the Grand Canal. He often walks in Castello, the quiet and serene Venice of the Venetians, where his favourite restaurant is located and where you can stop for lunch if you like. On the way from home to the Questura, not far from the Arsenale, Brunetti stops at his favourite bar on the Rialto Bridge, which we will also get to know. A walk to discover Venice and also the corners where this story takes place. Take photos of the places and take home an unforgettable memory.

We loved everything about this tour. First of all, we had a very knowledgeable tour guide, his name is Camilla. He provided us with very interesting information and facts about the Euganean region. We drove in a comfortable van. We visited two wineries and had the most amazing sceneries while driving around and visiting the wineries. We visited wine cellars and learned a lot about the process of wine making. The tastings were done in different settings and were all perfect! This tour over exceeded our expectations and I think it is worth every dollar! You won't be dissapointed. Thank you Camilla, for making this a very memorable tour!
