The breath-taking connection between Faber Peak Singapore and Sentosa Island Established since 1974, Singapore Cable Car is the nation's first and only cableway that links Faber Peak on mainland Singapore to the island resort of Sentosa, before flying you to the Merlion or the sandy beach at Siloso. Today, the cable car rides are enjoyed across a Cable Car Sky Network of more than 100 cabins spanning almost 5 kilometres on the Mount Faber Line and the Sentosa Line. A 'joyride' across the Cable Car Sky Network offers a 360-degree aerial and visual treat of the entire Sentosa-HarbourFront skyline and the resort island. The scenery transforms as the cabins soar above the forest, through a skyscraper, over the harbour and travel across the jungle, sand and sea. Our passionate service ambassadors are on hand to create happy moments for all cable car joyriders. Singapore Cable Car Opening Hours: From 8.45am to 10pm (Last boarding: 9.30pm)

Alighting the bus shuttle at Siloso Point station, a short walk leads to the Skywalk entrance. With free admission, two lifts bring visitors up to the Skywalk which is about 11 storeys high. The Skywalk is not sheltered save for intermittent points where display panels describe the views in front. Despite the sunny and hot weather, we enjoyed the cool sea breeze as we took in the views. Panoramic views can be enjoyed of the harbourfront skyline on the mainland, cable car towers with moving cable cars, Siloso Beach and the ships anchored off the southern coast of Singapore. The elevated walkway leads to the Fort Siloso attractions.

It was drizzling slightly when we boarded the ferry for Pulau Ubin, The ferry ticket is $4 each way. After alighting, we walked past the wayang stage and stopped a while at the Butterfly Hill to admire the numerous species of butterflies as well as to learn the names of some of the flowering plants. After that we continued on along Jln Jelutong passing Pekan Quarry. Pekan Quarry is good for observing many bird species such as the hornbills, There are brown signpost which indicates the directions of famous landmarks on the island. We passed the Jelutong Bridge over the Sungei Jelutong. Soon we reached Merbah Hut and the start of the easy climb up Puaka Hill. There are two viewing points, both are easily reached. The higher viewpoint offers a fantastic view of Ubin Quarry. After our descent we walked back along Jln Jelutong but turned at Jln Batu Ubin to visit a friend's farm. It was our first time seeing the Gac fruits which grow from the vine. We bought two fruits from them at $12 each. Bright yellow cosmos flowers can be seen here too. I also saw the asparagus plants. It was a refreshing visit as I last visited Pulau Ubin more than two years ago. I intended to return and do more hiking to places which I have not been before such as the Ketam Quarry.

I booked a reservation at Jurassic World Cafe on 4th December and glad I did as it was a Friday Evening. Finding the restaurant was a little confusing due to the horrible signage inside Ion Orchard, however we found the place. You will have to place your order at reception before taking the elevator up to the restaurant itself. Upon arriving, you place your order and get seated very quickly. I LOVED the ambience, from the chairs that you see in Jurassic Park, the decor, there's a life size statue of Blue the velociraptor and a lego version of him. I saved everything from the placemats to the coasters to the dinosaurs motifs that come with the drinks. We ordered the Jurassic World Burger (I loved it), Lava Flow, Mosasaurus Soda and Brachiosaurus Mint Papadam. All in in all, menu well spent and this kid got to see his dinosaurs. P/S: you only have 1.5 hours to dine and they will remind you upon arrival.
