7 Islands in Phuket That You Shouldn't Miss

May 19, 2021 Roseanne Arnett

Thailand’s largest island is an international magnet for beach lovers and serious divers, who enthusiastically submerge themselves in the Andaman Sea. Blue lagoons and salmon sunsets make for a dream-like atmosphere, and indeed, a vacation here can feel a bit surreal. Watersports are the most popular activities, though once you’ve had enough sun there’s still plenty to explore at the island’s aquariums, gardens, and Buddhist temples.

Ko Bon

We went there by longtail boat from Rawai beach, only a few minutes to get there (7?), approx 1500 baht roundtrip per boat. We were two adults and three kids, ask for life jackets. This is the perfect little dream Island, and so close to Phuket! Turquoise waters, palm trees and a little bohemian, laidback Restaurant that serves cold drinks and nice food. There were not many people visiting while we were there, so it was a quiet, little spot. We overviewed a wedding while we were there and snorkelled and saw a few colourful fishes. You can hire sun chairs.

This is the island we spend about an hour. Shallow water and white sand. You can walk around quite a bit. Nice place to run around.

We went as a group of friends (4 ppl) for a one day trip by sailing catamaran. The whole trip was worth the money. Although not much activity to do on the island, but if you like a very private beach with nice blue sea and white sand. You'd love this island as much as we do!

Ratcha Noi is a less frequented island so is also great if you want to give the crowds a miss and enjoy your piece of exclusive tropical magic. This place has some of the best water you can find with lots of beautiful corals and fish.

Koh Racha Yai

By far one of the prettiest beaches I've seen! It has all the ingredients for an amazing experience: looks very clean, beautiful clear water, white sands, amazing palm trees, enough places to grab some food and/or drinks and above all a great ambience and it's less crowded that other beaches I've been too. You can even go snorkeling in the area or partake in other fun activities. Definitely recommend visit Racha Island ????

Coral Island

Great way to escape Patong’s hustle and bustle and just enjoy the island life. Clean waters, cool breeze, sun shining. Sand is soft. Tour guide from Nikorn Marine provides excellent service! Tip: buy beach shoes to wear into the water as there are a lot of coral that you do not want to step on. Buy the shoes at the pier for only 100 baht. On the island it’s 350 baht for the same thing.

Coral Island

I went on a half day tour to Coral Island. I went on a speed boat with other people. On Coral Island I had 3 hours relaxing on the Island. I did some swimming had a cocktail from the bar. The beach was beautiful. I was near trees. After that the tour guide took us to another part of the Island and I some snorkeling. Saw different types of fish.
