Commerces a proximité !

The hotel is composed by a renovated authentic colonial “mansion”, built in 1927 and 3 cottages:Colonial mansion : 1 suite with 2 bedrooms and one bathroom at the ground floor (with a part of the terrace which goes around the colonial mansion call a “varangue”). At the first floor two triple rooms with independant shower.Occupation SUITE : 2 adults + 2 children + 1 infant. Surface area ≈ 60sqmOccupation triple rooms : 3 adults + 1 infant. Surface area ≈ 28sqmThe cottages : 2 independant rooms with terrace for each cottage, children’s bedroom on upper level, which can be communicated with one of each rooms.Occupation : 2 adults + 1 infant. Suraface area ≈ 17sqmEvery room including: Bathroom with Bath (or shower), hair-drier, air-conditioner, phone, IPOD system, one king size bed (maximum 2 persons in a room, possibility to add a baby cot), terrasse with panoramic view overlooking “Les Saintes” and deck chairs.
We arrived here late one night straight from the airport and our hosts were very welcoming and had saved some plates of dinner for our family of five to eat on the veranda which was a lovely touch. We had one room in the colonial house and one bungalow. They both had really comfortable beds, good amenities like a coffee machine, air conditioning, a small fridge, hairdryer etc and flowers through the rooms. Our bungalow also had patio furniture and a hammock. We woke to a rousing dawn chorus of birds and THE MOST AMAZING views over palm trees and gardens down to Trois Rivieres town, the crystal blue sea and Les Saintes islands in the distance. Breakfast was always large baskets of fresh fruit and pastries and many other things to order besides. The infinity pool was stunning and easy to lounge peacefully by, reading a good book or taking in the scenery. Basse Terre is hilly and quiet (like a very lush and tropical Cornwall!) and you will definitely need a car to explore it and get around, with waterfalls, mountains and beaches all accessible within 30-45 mins. There is also a ferry each day over to the neighbouring island. Would recommend Jardin Malanga for anyone with an adventurous spirit who is looking for peace and calm. We loved it.

We spent 1 night there and it seemed to be endless: 1) Room dirty and pillows full of dust. We needed to cover them with a T-shirt 2) Bathroom partially without tiles 3) Furnitures very old specially in the bathroom 4) Very poor breakfast 5) We didn't like the owner's approach: a little aggressive and pushy
