A nice place, huge cake, only one service staff wore a mask
Reviewed By beautifulcinderellaThe weather was nice and this is a really great location on the beach. Parking is at the other side of the building. Service was friendly and the cake was really huge. One thing is strange in Germany: Why doesn’t the staff wear a “op Mundschutz” or whatever fabric and just cover up nose and mouth? Even if it is outside, the mask would help prevent the virus..... One one lady service staff was wearing the mask outside. I think unfortunately we will not come back again in the wintertime even if the sun is shining. We would consider though if the staff would wear a mask. This in my opinion is a gesture of politeness towards the guests.

Reviewed By 742pergNew hotel, the best thing about the hotel is its location right by the center but still without traffic noise and overlooking the canal and out over the sea. Fantastic large and copious breakfast buffet. We chose half pension, which is recommended, also a large dinner buffet but not as impressive as the breakfast buffet. Reasonable prices for wines in the restaurant. However, too few wines to choose, at least they should have more German riesling wines and German red pinot noir. For free of use they also have a large spa, with swimmingpool both inside and outside. Area for both children and also own sauna area for adults. Highly recommended! We will come again. The only minus is that the rooms do not have either a kettle or a fridge or a mini-bar, as well as only glass walls for both shower and toilet, so you cannot stay there with others if you are shy

Reviewed By KS_on_TourDas Strandschlösschen liegt direkt am Strand. Von außen sieht es entsprechend dem Seeklima etwas verwittert aus, aber innen ist es sehr schön. Es hat Flair, ist sehr sauber. Auch die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, schön und noch neuwertig. Hier kann man getrost übernachten.

Reviewed By Lea SPerfect stopover, but I can Imagine people come here for holiday. The decor has layers of time and variety of styles which is charming as it's also clean an spaceous. It was not high season and we only met one awesome lady working.

Reviewed By 190744We were having to spend a night in Travemunde and the very difficult to find information recommended this hotel. Once you have located it, you will be very happy in this very well run hotel. The family operated hotel is in a park like setting away from the busy main street, yet close enough to the city centre to walk in a few minutes to the quay where all the action is. The original pieces of art hanging throughout the halls and rooms are very tasteful, as are the room arrangements. Very comfortable beds with great duvets make for a peaceful night, and if you like to have your windows open at night as we do, you'll find only the birds and the occasional church bell breaking the silence. The breakfast buffet was very complete with not only fresh fruit salad, but also freshly cut strawberries. Smoked salmon and other fish dishes brings this buffet above the rest, and of course the other usual breakfast items are not missing. For North American tastes there is even beacon, sausages and eggs. All in all, we had a very delightful stay and highly recommend this establishment.
