We attended a wedding in Rascafria and stayed at Hotel El Rincon for 2 nights. The hotel is charming, with large bedroom rooms and modern roomy bathrooms. The staff were friendly, made us feel like family and took care of all our needs. Highly recommend this little slice of heaven in the mountains near Madrid.

Good points: 1. The room was HUGE, as was the bathroom and all in all was very very nice and comfortable. 2. The lady who managed it was super friendly, chatty and very nice. 3. Rascafria is a lovely little town. 4. The vanilla soap in the bathroom was lovely, and the room generally provided everything you would need for a stay. Bad points: 1. We were left standing outside for a while when we got there as the manager had gone to lunch. It took 2 phonecalls to get somebody to come let us in. 2. The rooms are very noisy. If somebody in another room is flushing a toilet, or having a shower or even just talking then you are going to hear it. 3. The weekday breakfast isn't good. I was hoping for some Spanish omelette and a latte for breakfast but the espresso machine was broken and omelette is only at weekends apparently so my breakfast was a slice of toast, a glass of orange juice and about 3 spoonfulls of a not very nice cereal. And that for €7.50 was crazy. I would stay here again I suppose but not without looking elsewhere first

Located in an environmental site, with its own parking and large green area. Restaurant with very good typical food of the area.
We had booked this hotel for 2 nights but were so happy here we stayed an extra night. The hotel is simple but well presented, clean and comfortable. What made it special for us was the good food and the service. It is a family run affair and everyone is helpful and pleasant. We were given very good advice for walks in the beautiful countryside. The food was very tasty and again had a homely feeling, in the best sense of the word. It may have helped that we were there during weekdays as I believe weekends are very busy. All the same we would imagine Casa Marcos is a good place at any time and we hope we will be back some time in the future.

What a gorgeous little guest house. Rooms a generously spaced, clean, comfortable, set in an ancient noble house right next to the beautiful village church. Maribel, the owner, is super friendly and helpful, her attitude makes this place even more special, she treats you like you are part of the family and the guest house is your home. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!!!
