We used the hotel to break up a drive to southern Germany and Austria for only one night It was fantastic and can't wait to stay here again. The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is spotless, the room large and comfortable. We pre-booked half board not realizing the hotel had a superb restaurant that seems to attract people from the entire area. The half board basis meant we could not select from the menu, but we were not dissapointed. The starter, main course and dessert were excellent. The buffet breakfast was good. The hotel is easily reached from the motorway. However, the entire area beautiful having the stunning Mosel, vineyards, orchards etc. The Saar meander is just down the road and can be view from a viewing platform (10 euros) or from the hillside (free).

OK, so the location looks a bit unpromising on the satellite picture. But to the east you are in vineyards and orchards in a couple of minutes on foot. And the room (the Garden Room) was very good, one of the best aparthotel suites we've stayed in as a family. We arrived intending to eat there, but hadn't prebooked: this was a mistake as they were full. So they served us a full restaurant meal in our room, which couldn't have been better (and excellent veggie options). The breakfast was outstanding too, fulfilling everything we'd said to our kids about German hotel breakfasts. Only sorry we couldn't stay longer.

We had a newly renovated room with a large balcony, kitchenette, and a very modern bathroom - all spotlessly clean. The location is right off the bridge to Schengen in Luxembourg (home of the Schengen Treaty) and on the Mosel Wine Route. There are bike trails in the area for bikers. We didn't use ours here as we were only there for the one night. The food was excellent with local specialties - and, of course, Mosel wine - both red and white.

This hotel is attractive, but pretty basic. The shower was good. The breakfast was only average. The bed was large and comfortable. Good value, hence the four stars. I recommend eating in the hotel opposite (they don't serve dinner here). You park in a public, free car park, out of sight but seems safe.

We stayed in Perl as it was close to the Mosel. The rooms were good, and the hotel was run by a family. We had one dinner there which was very good and good service. Breakfast was good as well. We walked around the town and found a park with beautiful flower gardens. Visits to local wineries was not possible as it was harvest time so we drove into France and Luxembourg. Interesting scenery. Lots and lots of vineyards.

We where already several times in Struppshoof, the rooms and beds are realy good. But now that the restaurant is closed, the verry friendly owner lady makes the dinner for the customers,,,,not the best solution..Perhaps sometimes you are Lucky about your food, but my food was not OK at all.Better to go for dinner in a restaurant in the region. The breakfast was verry good
