Relax in a hotel that is conveniently located off Illinois State Route 9 and near the Avantis Dome in Pekin, Illinois. We are near the Courtside Shopping Center and East Court Village for retail needs as well as grocery and supply stores. Dine at the Applebee's, Avanti's or one of our local eateries. Enjoy our heated indoor pool and whirlpool.
That's right - you cannot go wrong, the team here and my overall experience were second to none. Exceptional cleanliness - you can tell the team cares for their leadership and task at creating an exceptionally clean environment at every turn. Why mess with the strains and unsafe nature of nearby Peoria? The area surrounding this beautiful property is vibrant with places to even dine in doors. Some shopping too. Leadership and the team really knock it out of the park. Lady in the morning serving breakfast is a treat. She and the female front desk team member were often seen cleaning and organizing. Thanks for a great experience. Been weeks since I stayed and sorry for the delay.

We are located right in front of the Avantis Sports Dome with several restaurants and retail businesses surrounding us. We have an indoor pool, free Wi-fi, and free local calls. Our free continental breakfast includes cereal, muffins, donuts, bagels, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, waffle maker, juice and 24 hour coffee.
First of all, let me say that this is the best hotel in Pekin in the price range. We always stay here when we visit our son. The Econo Lodge does many things right. The beds are comfortable. The room is very well lit, even the area with the sofa. The older I get, the more important this is. While the bathroom is quite small, there is plenty of counter space. The wifi always seems to work well, and there are plenty of outlets. The guy who always checks us in is wonderful. There are also some issues with this hotel. It is older and shows it. The sofas in the sitting area are all different and probably came from thrift shops. Some are much better than others. My biggest issue is with breakfast. It is not up to what travelers expect in hotels today. There is only one hot food--waffles. The toaster has one side that doesn't work. I first noticed it when we stayed last November and it was still not working in March. Spend a few bucks and get a toaster that works! Also not one staff member checked on the breakfast room the whole time we were there. On the positive side, the bagels are excellent!! We will continue to stay here as it is the best option. However, we feel that it is a little pricey for what you get.

My partner made reservations for one night at this hotel for 7/31. We arrived at 2:36 PM to check in. The desk clerk was nowhere to be seen, but check-in is officially 3 PM, so we decided to simply wait for someone to arrive at the desk. While we waited, a woman came to the desk needing help because her key was not working. She had 5 kids who were clearly tired and cranky. There was no one to help her access her room. A second person showed up to check in but, after waiting about 10 minutes, he returned to his car to grab a beer and started drinking it down in the lobby. The lobby its self was not cleaned and had half-full coffee cups just sitting out on the tables by the reception the desk. There was a sign that said said to dial 100 on the white phone for immediate assistance. The woman tried multiple times with no answer. I began questioning if people worked there. 25 minutes in, I decided to take a gander over the desk to see if there was another number we could call. There was not, but what was available was the ENTIRE computer system open to the reservation screen with NO employees anywhere to keep an eye on it. Anyone could have reached over and accessed the system. Roughly 35 minutes later, we located a housekeeper who apologized and said he would find the desk clerk. 10 minutes after that, a young lady came out from the direction of the hotel rooms and walked behind the reception desk. It was 45 minutes from the time we arrived til we actually had a clerk at the desk to check in or help with any other issues that might have come up. She did not apologize for her lengthy absence. She just looked at my partner and I. We told the fellow enjoying his public day drinking to go ahead. We exited the building and my partner promptly called the general reservation number for the Super 8 and canceled our room reservation. $99/night for a room. We found a room for the exact same rate at the Mark Twain in Peoria and it was a profound improvement in every way in comparison to this place. Skip the Super 8 in Pekin. Try the Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot if you need a hotel in that immediate area. But do not waste your time, your money, or your peace of mind on this location. It was most certainly sketchy in every conceivable way and I was stunned to realize this was a participating Wyndham property based on everything I witnessed.

Studio 6 Pekin, IL is located off I-74. We are conveniently less than 10 miles from Peoria Airport and Downtown Peoria. We also have kitchenettes and free Wi-Fi in all modern guest rooms. This is a smoke-free motel.
What a crappy hotel room! Wasn’t very clean, could smell a gas odor coming up and down the stairs to our room, and the bed was awful! We only got a total of two towels for anything and didn’t offer nearly as much as others do.

Lick Creek Golf Course offers a driving range, pro shop and concession area for all golfers needs.
This hotel is well removed from the interstates, and very much on the outskirts of Pekin proper. Its location, and seeming popularity with contractors, may account for how quiet we found it. The public areas as well as our room were clean and reasonably well appointed; there's an indoor pool but no hot tub. We did have a problem with our refrigerator, which was running but refused to keep anything cold. Breakfast was well above HIE standard; the elderly lady who was staffing the breakfast area kept the tables clean, and steadily refreshed coffee pots and the food trays, which sported tasty omelets as well as the usual array of turkey and pork sausage, eggs, and biscuits. If you are looking for a clean and quiet hotel, and don't mind driving in from the interstate, this one should fit the bill.
