Little Gem
Reviewed By buneeLooked for a place in Obertrubach as we were going there for some rock climbing. Found this place on a travel site and thought it looked like good value. Plus all the activities there was very attractive. The receptionists don't all speak English, but they definitely tried to help. Room had it's own kitchenette and we were relieved to finally be able to cook for ourselves. Very important on a 6 week holiday. Bed was comfortable and room was huge. The breakfast buffet was included and they had quite a big selection. It was a pleasant surprise when we turned up for our first breakfast looking for a table and found that there was one reserved just for us with our name on it. Was a pleasant surprise. The website at the hotel sold the activities a bit more than they appeared (pool table was tiny and they only had goats and a couple of rabbits in their "zoo"). No free wi fi but they let you use a communal computer when reception is open. One caution, if you email their address on their website, they do not respond. I sent three emails and heard nothing.

Perfect stay in Franken Jura
Reviewed By GemmaVivaIt's the first time I rate a 5 in TripAdvisor. Gästehaus Brütting surprised me in a very positive way : location is wonderful (green, nature all over), hotel is simple but clean (really very clean!), our room was big and the bed was even bigger! Breakfast had everything you can expect for a Gästehaus and very trim. Flowers on the balcony and no person around. The family owner is very nice. I recommend it!

Depressing
Reviewed By Cris AWe wanted some change to find another place for a night on our trip down to Italy and we found this Gaesthouse in Obertrubach. Old fashioned hotel furniture ; years 1970! Need really a rehabilitation and refurbishement. Pity because is quite well located. Rooms a bit old and not exactly clean ( there were spiders in the bathroom!). Nice terrace however need some maintenance and cleaning. Good dinner even if it took a bit too long waiting time. Breakafst very good and varietty of food. Needs a bit of refresh!

Good value, authentic Franconian cuisine
Reviewed By jess_aberWe spent the afternoon driving round the Fränkische Schweiz and found this restaurant on a list of places to eat inthe area. The restaurant is small but has a wide selection including vegan and gluten free options. There were also some unique dishes such as an apple pastry in beer dough with beer ice cream (tasted exactly as it sounds!). I had a deer ragout which was very tasty, with drinks and dessert my bill came to 18 euro including tip. Staff were also very helpful and friendly, even putting fresh sauce into my friends' to-go packages. Highly recommended!

Große Enttäuschung-auch nichts für Bike
Reviewed By mikeas2012Auf meiner Motorradtour wurde ich durch eine Tafel „Biker herzlich willkommen „ auf das Haus aufmerksam. Das Zimmer sehr klein, ebenso das Bad. Das Bett total ausgelutscht und die Handtücher waren aneinander genähte Löcher; es gab auch weder Seife noch Duschlotion. Als Biker hat man immer etwas dabei. Das Abendessen (Holzfällersteak) war eine Ansammlung von Sehnen und Fett und eher ungenießbar. Das Frühstück war ein kleiner Lichtblick; die Wirtsleute waren jedoch sehr bemüht und sehr freundlich. Ich kann keine Empfehlung aussprechen

Plein au moment de la Spielwarenmesse
Reviewed By pelleatarteNous sommes venu dans cet endroit il y a un petit moment, janvier 2013. Je crois que depuis lors c'est fermé. Quoiqu'il en soit c'était un lieu très bien tenu, par Frau und Herr Grüner. Une bonne pension de famille ou le soir on peut bien manger et manger chaud. Idéal après une journée de marche au salon du jouet. On est en pleine Franquische Schweiz, une forêt dense, et à environ 50km de la Messe de Nuremberg, le parc des expositions.
