Reviewed By Donald PPool had sun on it most of the day, without any buildings blocking the sun. Stayed over a week. The place is a little dated, but very clean. The 2 bedroom rooms were large. Breakfast were good and different each day.

Perfect choice for my visit
Reviewed By amandabV6301EDThis hotel was perfect for what I needed. I was traveling for business, it was in a great location, not far from where I needed to be. The room was clean and was spacious. Staff that I dealt with was knowledgeable about the area and was very nice. Would stay here again.

Excellent one night stop over at extended stay america!
Reviewed By 802russwNice hotel, excellent desk service; no gym, no ice machine, extended stay but no utensils dishes cups etc in the kitchenette. Excellent for a one night stopover! Seems the place has been recently renovated and looks very nice. They maintain no smoking, and pet-free facility.

Thurston House is central to everything, making us perfect for both business and pleasure travel. We are in the heart of Maitland, and 5 minutes to Winter Park, 10 minutes to downtown Orlando, 30 minutes to the attractions and one hour to beaches. Our three queen-sized guest rooms offer all modern amenitites. Our 8 acre lakefront setting provides our guests with quiet accommodations.
Best B & B in Florida!

Simply put, my family and I love this B&B. Beverly was so welcoming from the minute we stepped foot on the property. My in-laws and father (all in their 80s) and my two daughters’ in there 20’s, were obsessed with the decor and wraparound porch. There was so much history that Innkeeper Beverly Fuller shared with us as Thurston House was built in 1885 and then completely restored in the 90s and kept immaculately. We all fell head over heels in love with this property, from the ambiance to the F & B, to the warmth of Beverly’s genuine southern hospitality. The moment she greeted us we were charmed. We could not have asked for a better location. It was minutes from Park Ave in Winter Park and the iconic Rollins College, where my daughter happened to be graduating from the weekend we stayed. It was also Mother’s Day weekend, and I could not get a reservation outside for a large party; Beverly offered to host us at Thurston House. She worked with me in advance on a personalized menu, floral arrangements & more, which were displayed in a five-star fashion. Beverly is an exceptional cook, has excellent attention to detail, and how she does all of it by herself was a mystery to all of us. Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. My husband and I stayed one extra night for some needed respite and renewal. Beverly created a delightful stay for us. Overall, a wonderful place; we will stay here again and recommend it highly. We all left feeling we had discovered a new perspective on B & B travel. Thurston House is truly a breathtaking destination for just a weekend get-away or the perfect venue for a small gathering or special occasion. With our daughter now residing in Winter Park, this is our new home away from home!
