A rather hungry crew needed fed before we returned to Dundrum to find our holiday accommodation. My husband remembered the hotel being recommended by friends so we gave it a go. We had lasagne with chips (3 portions) and a peri chicken Caesar salad. It all went down beautifully, and we would definitely return as our welcome was warm, and the staff were lovely!

We stayed in Leitrim Hill B&B for 2 nights. It's impossible to find fault with any aspect of the B&B. From the cup of tea and cakes when we arrived, to the en-suite room itself, to the beautiful breakfasts, Anne's home baking, the view from the house, everything was top drawer. Anne is a delightful host, nothing is too much trouble. The B&B has a booking.com rating of 9.9. I'm wondering where the 0.1 was lost ;-) Definitely one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in. Will be back, no question!

Located in the picturesque fishing village of Annalong, Marine Villa Bed & Breakfast offers you the perfect place to stay during your visit to the Mourne Mountains. With a range of local amenities close by and the local Harbour just around the corner, Marine Villa is perfectly placed to facilitate a relaxing and tranquil holiday.
Our 2-night family stay with Ralda at Marine Villa was absolutely unforgettable. The consummate hostess, her B&B was on point and the most memorable part of our vacation across 4 countries. The rooms were sparkling clean and comfortable. We booked both the double room as well as the queen with ensuite and both felt like home. The location is quiet (so important to us!) and just a few minutes walk to the sea. Ralda's Ulster Fry breakfast was so delicious (and huge!) that we were barely able to move afterward and were full well into the afternoon. The delicious homemade bread and jam is something I have been trying to recreate at home but sadly have missed the mark every time. The pups came to say hello in the mornings but weren't bothersome at all. In fact, we really enjoyed their happy and quick morning hellos. We ducked into the charity shop a few doors up the street on a rainy day and the ladies there were darling so I highly recommend a quick look around and a chat while you are there. *^^* We wound up buying beautiful wraps/scarves that turned into the best souvenirs of our trip. The Galley restaurant is a short walk up the street and served some of the best fish and chips we've ever had. The batter was crisp and the fish fresh. There's a takeaway option so if you don't have time to sit-in, you can still enjoy it! If the weather had cooperated, we would have had fish'n chips on the beach. *^^* There is a market/post office (inside the shop in the back left corner)/petrol station up the street which was incredibly convenient for sending some postcards home. The people there were all cordial and, even though we don't expect people to bend over backwards to be friendly, the welcome we experienced in N.Ireland was such a treat. I do recommend renting a car if you are staying at Marine Villa. Newcastle is a short drive up the coast and has all sorts of shops (including a vape shop for anybody looking for refills) and it's an easy drive up to Giant's Causeway (very cool) and the Dark Hedges (sadly...not quite as exciting as we thought it would be but perhaps that's because we're from the Pacific Northwest and trees are kind of our thing, anyway...). We will 100% be returning to Marine Villa! *^^*

Amazing location, accommodation was clean and fresh - breakfast was awesome. Hosts were most welcoming and I loved the fact we were so close to the cows ❤️ Wish we had known about hot tub . Totally recommend this bed and breakfast purely for location - view and the mountains behind. Awesome. Traditional Irish breakfast was absolutely amazing - best throughout our trip - our last day of holiday - save the best until last . Big thanks to our hosts ??? ?

On rare occasions you come across somewhere that is really special. My stay at Greencastle B&B was one of those rare occasions. It is located at the end of Pier Road walking distance to the Ferry and a short drive to Kilkeel, with views to die for. It is quiet and peaceful. The house is a listed building which is lovingly cared for by Jackie, who was a fantastic host. Parking is provided at the rear of the property. The accommodation was flawless, immaculate rooms and facilities which were extremely comfortable and my room at the front had a beautiful view. Breakfast in the morning was a feast with plenty of choices and all freshly prepared by Jackie who was always available for a chat or a recommendation of where to visit. I always ask myself would I stay again, the very simple answer here is yes!!! and the sooner the better.

Discovering MCH was a truly great find. Excellent facilities, very welcoming hosts, superb accommodation and delicious food. A lot of work, time and effort has been invested in this B&B by the owners and they deserve every success. I was made to feel very welcome, had good advice on local attractions and useful information about the area. Though it was just a short break I felt very rested and refreshed. Very confident in recommending MCH to other travellers.

We spent 2 nights here as a family of 4 with our dog. Mairead gave us a magnificent Mourne welcome. She served us the heartiest of breakfasts and catered for our vegetarian son while filling us in on the area. It was great to get local insight and from someone who clearly loves her native area. The lodge itself is clean and comfortable and had a huge kitchen and living room and a costcutters next door. This is a great place. We will be back.
