Stayed here for the night has we had a family party in the town the alleyway from the car park to the hotels entrance could do with lighting all the time as it was still hard to see where you were going even in the daylight room was quite comfortable and big enough for our needs view wasn't inspiring as we looked out on to a roof when we arrived back in after attending our party we heard this constant loud humming noise coming from outside whether it was coming from the hotels nightclub or a extractor fan it wasn't what we were wanting to hear trying to get to sleep the other downside was the password for the WiFi didn't work

We are looking forward to welcoming guests from all over to our lovely home with great views overlooking the Strathmore valley. Our house is modern and very well appointed, but still lovely and cosy and homely - we are sure it will feel like your "home away from home" in no time! Guests will have shared access to our comfy lounge and dining area. There is a communal large games / multi-media / fitness room at the rear of the house and a sun-house with hot tub and decking at the back of the house. Near by we have the Queen Mother's historic home, Glamis Castle (5 miles), excellent fishing at Rescobie Loch (5 miles) and the River South Esk (15 miles). The Angus Glens (20 miles) are superb for walking and the beautiful sandy beach at Montrose (19 miles) is easy to access by car or public transport for some fresh sea air! The pretty coastal town of Arbroath (16 miles) is the home to a 12C Abbey and is where Robert the Bruce wrote the "Declaration of Arbroath" to the Pope in 1320.
We stayed for one night to see grandparents and really couldn't fault it. The b&b is clean, tidy with some amazing views. The owners are really friendly and do what they can to make your stay as good as it can be, we will be staying here again on our next visit there

Gorgeous house, beautifully kept gardens and a friendly and very welcoming host. A short walk to the town or local loch, plenty of places to visit nearby. The rooms are very well equipped with plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits too.

Had to be in the area for the night for a family gathering so after reading reviews decided to book for 1 night. OMG what an amazing stay myself and my daughter had. We were welcomed by Susan who showed us to our huge beautifully decorated room! It had a fantastic hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, crisps, nuts and biscuits. We had bottles of water beside our bed with a chocolate, what a lovely touch. We were treated like family. After a brilliant nights sleep we arranged breakfast to be at 9.30 which was amazing! We had pancakes with berries, banana, bacon and maple syrup along with toast, pot of tea and orange juice. Would absolutely recommend this beautiful b&b and would definitely stay again. Thank you Susan and family ?

We had a lovely weekend at Farmtoun. The accommodation was nice and clean and the perfect size for our family of 4. Great location to explore the local area. The breakfast hamper topped off the last morning really well.
