beautiful lakeside inn on Paudash lake in Highlands East in Haliburton.9 rooms some overlooking the lake.3 summer housekeeping cabins.Good swinning and fishing, the lake is known for its small and large mouth bass.Enjoy a fire at night down at the waters edge and listen to the loons.
Awesome place for a winter getaway in the Bancroft area. My husband and I are big snowmobilers. We usually stay right in Bancroft. Our usual place has gone downhill. After some searching I discovered this gem. Stayed in a little 1 BR cabin right on the lake. Had a well stocked full kitchen. We cooked our own meals and ate much better than we usually would. Very clean and comfortable. We’ll definitely be back!

Nestled in the heart of cottage country we offer a comfortable relaxing stay. Fireplace suites, business suites and family suites available. Locally owned and operated. Located directly across for Bancroft Golf Course.
Very odd accumulation of buildings make up this Motel. Clean. Very basic. Heating is a bit odd (midwinter visit). Downtown location and in summer I think the view in back would be very nice. Iffy wifi. Very nice receptionist who was helpful re restaurants and directions

Teddy Bear Bed & Breakfast is located 8 kilometers south of Bancroft on the shore of Tait Lake. There are 6 bedrooms which share 2 full bathrooms and guests have the use of the living room, dining room, deck, canoe and paddle boat. In the morning a scrumptious breakfast of croissant, fruit salad, bacon, sausage and eggs is served to get your day started.
Very comfortable and clean. Karin, is lovely and she will give you good recommendations about restaurants and things to do in the area. You just have to ask her about the types of activities you're planning and she'll give you suggestions and directions. The breakfast is amazing. The grounds are well maintained, there is seating at the dock area and you can borrow a canoe for a paddle on the lake.

Room was clean. Staff very helpful, restaurant nearby Pillows are little 12x12” pieces of foam. Bring own. Heat control so high up you need to stand on a chair to adjust. Very odd individual room heat; cycles on and off loudly every three minutes Breakfast is minimal. McDonald’s is just down the road

Need rest in a safe manner, and experienced the resort as a blessing: not crowded, clean, calming deco , a variety of seating areas, informative and friendly owner Mat and staff Ray, rich choices of activities like hiking, kayaking, BBQ..., scenic places like Algonquin Park (of course), Sculpture Forest, riverside walk at Haliburton, all within reasonable driving distance. Oh, the no pets, no smoking policy is rare among resorts and most helpful. One recommendation: Ray and Mat were always around for all questions and services while we were there. The envelope in the room that asks for a tip should have their name instead of someone on it . Keep up with your wonderful service Footprints Team.

We stayed at Birch Cliff Lodge mid June as a quick escape following the provincial lock down. We had originally booked it earlier in June and the management team, specifically Darlene, were so accommodating to change our dates when restrictions prevented us from visiting as planned. It is a very cute place. Our cabin (Everest) was very clean, well-equipped with everything you need, and perfectly cozy for 5 of us! The bathroom could use an update but other than that we thought it was perfect! We especially loved the screened in porch on the rainy nights. The cabins are very close together, which we had expected based on reviews, so we had to be very aware of our noise level at night because our neighbours had small children. Our cabin was a 30 second walk to the waterfront, Lake Baptiste, which was beautiful. Overall, a great place to relax and reconnect with family and friends!!!

Self contained two bedroom garden suite located on the ground floor of a modern chalet style home. Quiet rural setting amongst the trees and just 20 minutes north of Bancroft.
The Chickadee Lodge is near Algonquin Park. A perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of nature with amenities such as laundry, kitchen, books, netflix and wifi. The hosts, Diane and Richie were gracious and warm. We had a great time at the lodge!
