Gages Mill is a family owned and run Guest House / Bed and Breakfast located on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, on the outskirts of the town of Ashburton. We have seven guest rooms comprising; six doubles, one twin and a family room that we can provide with a double and temporary full sized single bed and, if requested, a single blow up mattress bed. We purchased Gages Mill in September 2009 and have carried out extensive renovation and improvement works with our aim being to create an atmosphere and environment which we would ourselves appreciate if we were staying for a night or more. Excellent stay
Reviewed By sophiadeen92I couldn't recommend this place more. We stayed here for two nights for a wedding. Kate and Nathan were wonderful hosts and their b&b is the most perfect getaway. Our room was cosy and comfortable and we had everything we needed. They served us a lovely English breakfast that was both filling and delicious. I actually left my cardigan at their b&b and messaged Kate about this, she was so kind to send it to me free of charge and first class postage! I've stayed at many hotels but I have to say that both Kate and Nathan were the nicest and most accommodating hosts. If you're looking for a weekend away in Ashburton this is the place to stay.

And wow what a venue, we booked our wedding venue two years before our actual wedding date and Keith and Carol could not have done enough for us, always in contact through email and allowed us to visit as many times as needed to go through things and check things over. The actual wedding weekend was amazing we stayed for two nights, not one bad word was mentioned to me throughout the weekend at all. The rooms we’re warm and clean and the garden was impeccable. The day wouldn’t have ran as smoothly without you Kieth! Highly recommend ☺️

We are a boutique style property offering quality accommodation in a private and spectacular setting. Featuring both individual rooms to individual holiday homes to cater from 2 to 30 persons.
They cancelled our booking... on our wedding weekend... for a 'better offer'.
Reviewed By DanGGrimsterWe were due to stay at ANRAN the night following our wedding day at the nearby Kingston Estate - booking our accommodation 3.5 months in advance. We booked a lovely little cottage, and were looking forward to a complete relax and unwind after months of planning and days of partying. You can imagine our devastation when we received a call 2 days before our wedding, to tell us that our room was no longer available as they had a better offer from a larger group of people that they'd rather have stay! WHAT?!?!??!??!?! When telling a few people from the local area about this, they were not surprised. Apparently this has happened before. They are money-hungry, pretentious business owners without heart or soul. We were left having to pay more than double for a last minute booking nearby. Thank god it was a million times better. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Reviewed By GarethGreat modern caravan (010). Great veranda and view. Really friendly staff. The kids loved feeding the animals. Really comfortable. Stunning electric fire. Immaculate. Not too far to travel to get to attractions. I'd happily recommend this for a getaway. I'd go there again

Reviewed By CheekyLondonWe stayed here whilst attending a cookery course at the Ashburton Cookery School. We had a very nice experience here. The rooms are well appointed with toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities. It's all very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the continental breakfast with eggs any way. All good fresh produce. The house is old and quirky whilst being well maintained. We particularly enjoyed our time in the interesting garden with our bottle of wine! A lovely experience and highly recommended.

Amazing place
Reviewed By dizemkaWe have stayed for two nights. Breakfast was amazing. Beds comfortable we did have good night sleep despite it is a pub. Owners are amazing and helpful. Good location for local walks as well as gateway to the Dartmoor and sea side. Victoria Inn is very secure place. Massive thanks for storing our bikes and we hope Ruby is feeling better now ?
