The National Museum of the Republic of Buryatia The National museum of the Republic of Buryatia is the pride and legacy of the Republic and also the symbol of the Buriyat culture. It combined four museums of the Republic: the History museum named after M.Khangalov, the Art museum named after Ts.Sampilov, the Natural science museum and the Novoselenginsk museum of the Decembrists. The History museum of the Republic of Buryatia named after M.Khangalov All history of Buryatia is represented by the unique fund collections of more than 100 thousand items of the museum. These items have the world significance, among them are: "The Atlas of Tibetan medicine", the Buddhist culture items, sculptures, made from precious metals and stones items of the arts and crafts, rare books in Tibetan and old Mongolian languages and other things which can be considered as the pride of the Republic. The guests of the museum during a day can touch to different milestones of Buryatia's history and culture from the Huns period till the present days. The Art museum named after Ts. Sampilov The art museum named after Ts.Sampilov is one of the top museums in Eastern Siberia.
