This overlook combines a scenic view with shopping opportunities for Native American arts and crafts.
Whether this is your destination, or just a stop off between Sedona and Flagstaff, you can’t lose. Amazing views, helpful ranger station, free washrooms and a genuine Navajo market of handicrafts. Many of the friendly stall merchants are very interesting to chat with. I often head up here at 6 AM on my motorcycle and then cruise back down to Sedona for a glorious hour of solitude. Remember you climb 2500 feet so it can be much cooler at the top.

This is the downtown historic area of Glendale, Arizona. The area has more than 80 antique shops, some interesting resturants, and nice park.
A great place to roam around and shop though the many Antique Shops and other interesting shops. There are many sit down places to grab a bite to eat, comfortably priced.

A joint project between Casa Grande Main Street and the city of Casa Grande Historic Preservation Commission, this outdoor museum features 14 signs that have been salvaged and restored from historic sites in and around Casa Grande. The signs are lit every night from dusk until 11 p.m. and is free of charge.
Visiting this museum / park was the main focus of a recent overnight trip to Casa Grande. I first heard about it while visiting a similarly themed indoor museum in Tucson. I had a very pleasant visit--just dark enough that I was able to see the signs in all their glory! I spent a good deal of time reading the information posted alongside the exhibits. The only issue I had is that some of the information was difficult to read because of bird droppings. I suppose a certain amount of that is to be expected; being located outdoors, but I do hope there is a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule. Prior to this visit I had no idea of how comparatively large the town is. I especially enjoyed walking through the "oldtown" area earlier in the day. If nothing unforeseen happens, I definitely plan to return for a more lengthy stay.

An "American West Phenomenon" If you travel the West, chances are you'll see a few of these hillside letters. In 1922, the senior class of Clarkdale HS built the hillside letter “C”. Freshmen were put “In Charge” of maintenance. Some letters have been around for a century, many have a story to tell, and all are beloved community icons that boldly declare to all within their view. Such a fun little shopping area! I absolutely loved visiting the "Udder delights" organic goats milk beauty products store and testing out all the different lotions, Creams and soaps. I came home with the best smelling vanilla lotion, lemongrass and lime lotion, as well as the tee tree and mind foot cream!
The best selection of retro vintage style pinup and boho chic clothing and accessories. Located in the Old Towne district in the heart of Historic Downtown Glendale.
