One is welcomed more like a friend than a customer by this winemaker and his family. Enjoy a leisurely, informative tasting before selecting the wines you want to buy. Throughout the range they are all good value. One of the reasons I like to visit Italy in my own car each year is to be able to take several cases of Mauro Sebaste's lovely wine back to England with me. It never disappoints.

Enoteca Fracchia & Berchialla

Reviewed By MintiF - Geneva, Switzerland

A local recommended us to buy wine there and she was right to have done so. The Piemontese wine selection is wide (but not huge if focused on Barolo & Barbaresco), and prices more than fair (compared to the various enotecas we visited in Barolo, Barbaresco, and the surrounding villages). Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There’s also a large selection of French wines, champagne, and whiskies/rum. All in all, make sure you buy your wine there as it is good value for money, and has wide-enough variety.

Langhe landscapes UNESCO

Reviewed By 840gabrielh - Bellaire, United States

Rolling hills, soft breezes, intense sun around harvest time, the entire Langhe is a treasure. Its curving roads deliver one scenery after another, with medieval castles, classic churches, cozy restaurants and lively wine bars. No wonder UNESCO listed the entire region as a patrimony of mankind. The region needs to be explored slowly: drive leisurely or ride a bike, or, if that is your style, hike. There are hundreds of hostels and B&Bs, hotels ranging from the inexpensive to the luxurious, and a similarly broad range of dining options. But you visit because of the wines. Arneis, Favorita, Cortese and the enormous flexibility of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato offer you an endless selection of wines for all tastes.

Abellonio - Cascina Piccaluga

We are young winemakers with ancient vineyards... The great passion of Roberto for the cultivation of wineyards, and Alessandro for the production of wine have allowed the birth of this small cellar. From the top of the hill of Altavilla you can taste our wines and enjoy the marvellous view of the Langhe. Visits and winetastings are held only by appointment. See you soon!

Ceretto Aziende Vitivinicole

Reviewed By livinginsuisse - Lausanne, Switzerland

We had fully intended to visit the Ceretto winery but before we got there, we made a stop at the Chapel of Barolo and found they had a pop up wine tasting experience in a building across the street (a former grappa distillery for Ceretto). We were received warmly and our hostess was fantastic explaining the history, the wines and the "church" which is owned by the Ceretto family. The wines were great and we left with a few in tow. Highly recommend. I look forward to returning if/when they redo the space so that the entire view can be taken in through floor to ceiling windows. It will be just magnificent.
