Love this shop,. We always stop by after we have lunch at he Erie Beach hotel for fresh person from Lake Erie. We are from Virginia US but have family in the area so we always stock up on Jenny's cheese when we are in the area. Jenny is very knowledgeable about all her cheese and we especially love trying the Canadian Cheeses. Would not be a trip to ON without vising her cheese shop. As soon as the border reopens we will be up there by visiting family, eating local perch and stocking up at the Dover Cheese Shop! This hosp is heaven for cheese lovers!

We were in Port Dover for our rental but drove to Simcoe on the two weekends for a baseball tournament. The baseball diamonds the grandkids played on were wonderful, great bleacher seating, nice playground which bordered in this trail. I saw and spoke to several locals, and they very proudly spoke of the trail and how one individual said she rode to Brantford. We came across several bike riders in our way back and that is when I noticed the sign for the trails. I wish we had been able to spend more time before we had to go home. But if we get back there, would love to explore it more. Wonderful that we have such wonderful trails in this area. Makes me wonder what else we missed.

We arrived in Port Dover late on a Friday night. We took a stroll out to the beach just as the sun was setting. We saw the lighthouse in the distance and made a note to come back the next day. The next was a beautiful day and we took a walk out to the end of the pier. Many benches along the pier to sit and enjoy the view. Thought we'd be able to go into the lighthouse but it is not accessible. Nevertheless it was lovely to look at and we enjoyed the peaceful time. A beautiful place to unwind.

What makes Smoke&Gamble one of Norfolk's most exciting wines? Age... time in the barrel. More than expensive decoration, barrel aging contributes structure, body and tannin, softening the wine to form a richer, more complex flavour. Barrel aging brings out the pepper and blends the aromas of a newly opened cigar box with burning autumn leaves. Welcome to our Private Club. Frisky Beaver started as a dream... then some wine drinking, serious thoughts, more wine, and some outlandish plans. What were we thinking? After learning that we can't get there from here, we naturally had some more wine and voila! The result is Frisky Beaver -- magnificent wines you'll be proud to share and enjoy with friends.
Our group strolled to the winery from Clonmel Castle ...about 10-15 minutes away. It was a busy time when we arrived for our scheduled tasting time; the staff were accommodating. We enjoyed our wines and snacks while seated at the large table in their tasting room ... great fun!
