We have come to this paved trail for a number of years to bike with our children. Took some family/senior pics here as well. It’s a mostly shady and flat trail that follows the river with plenty of turn outs with benches or picnic tables enjoy the river views or watch the fishermen trying their luck. Lots of birds to watch and plenty of turtles too. The eastern end of the trail, located in Anglers Park, climbs up some steep hills and ends at an business area. The western end abruptly stops at private property a short ways after you pass the YMCA. There is some repair going on after the floods, but still worth the time.

Ballad Brewing is a craft brewery built in a renovated tobacco warehouse in the heart of Danville's River District. We are focused on brewing a wide variety of great beers that are true to style. In our taproom, we are dedicated to approachability, community, and constantly increasing our craft beer education. We hope you'll stop by to see us soon!
Ballad Brewing is located in an old warehouse with new life breathed into it. The setting is wonderfully laid back and you can enjoy a game of shuffleboard, corn hole, or pinball. Or maybe catch a game on the big screen or simply have a conversation on a comfortable couch. This is no sports bar, but the kind of place you can hang out with your friends. The service is fast and friendly and for those with commitment issues, you can try a sample first. A sample of what? Oh, did I forget to mention they have beer? Really interesting craft beers. Among these are Just Pressed (wheat beer and sour ale), Cash Crop (a farmhouse ale), and Balladeer (an IPA). These can be consumed on the premises in draft form or you can take home a growler or a six-pack of bottles. I particularly enjoyed the Just Pressed. It was quite light and refreshing. Even if you don't normally like beer, give this one a taste; you might just find that you like beer after all. While they don't have a kitchen, they do have food trucks that come by so you may be able to grab a bite if you time your visit right. On the whole, Ballad Brewing is a fantastic place to drop by when you are ready to forget about everything and just relax.

I absolutely loved it. Three floors filled to the brim, the store was bursting at the seams. It was quiet and there was more than enough space for me to shop in peace. The items varied in condition, some things were highly collectible and others were essentially garbage. Prices were mostly reasonable. I got a hard wood coat stand for $15. Think, endless indoor yardsale.
