On our itinerary we would visit this great market, we made a tour and it was nice to know the native language and the nice things they sell.

The sleepy town of Pisac comes alive every Sunday when people from the surrounding communities come together to sell and buy produce, crafts and other supplies in the town's central square.
Full of character and loads of souvenirs, bargains and food. Good stopping place if you're driving in from the Sacred Valley

Stall after stall after stall of tourist centric gifts. If you see something you like, note the stall, and ask how much, then walk away. If you see it in another stall you can buy it or bargain for it there, or, go back to the original if it was a better price. Another piece of advice, if you see something you like, don't assume you'll see it again in Lima or Aguas Caliente or whereever.... We did and could not find the same pattern again anywhere.

Writing this just to warn folks what we saw. This is a great place to get some souvenirs at good prices with a little bargaining. More expensive than what you might be able to get in Cusco but you can barter your way to the same price. Anyways, here is the warning. If you are interested in buying a shirt, tapestry, or anything else, make sure you are buying from the top of the pile! Anything on the bottom of the pile is at risk of being peed on by the resident perros. We witnessed one going around making sure everyone knew his territory and no shop keeper saw what was going on. It was gross and hilarious.
