As a junior hiker, I thought it was quite hard to hike around 11 km to 20 km each day within the scheduled time. However, under the good weather condition, I was able to finish the whole itinerary, and I thought it was worthy to do so without any regret! The scenery along the route is very unique and awesome, it is worthwhile to try hard to finish it! The weather can be very different even in one day: sunshine in the morning, wind and cloud in the afternoon and rain at night, so it is very important to wear in layers. Also, a pair of waterproof and comfortable hiking shoes or boots is a must for this hiking tour.

Almost 10 days of trekking close to 100 miles in this pristine land, taking hundreds of pictures, still didn't seem to do justice to this amazing place! Our legs may have been tired, but we didn't notice. Saw awe-inspiring rock towers reaching into the clouds, turquoise and deep blue colored lakes, and glaciers bigger in area than a city. We experienced all 4 seasons in a single day - incl. winds that could knock you off your feet if you're not careful. Drinking fresh (unfiltered) water from the streams never felt better. Not to forget the unique flora and fauna incl. the Lama-like guanacos and the Andean condors soaring from the cliffs. Must give credit to Chiletour for organizing everything so smoothly as well as the Chilean & Argentinian governments on preserving this place so well. Chiletour made a rather complicated itinerary and logistics seem simple. It was an absolute pleasure to get to know Ricci and to stay at the Garden Domes in Puerto Natales - gorgeous views, great food, comfortable cabins, yet simple, peaceful and remote. The tiny houses (designed and built by Ricci) just outside of Torres del Paine National Park are a class of their own. Compact yet very comfortable and modern, these trailer houses are very strategically placed with a view of the 3 famous towers. While it is magical to hold a 20,000 year old chunk of ice in your hands, you cannot help but feel sad that these glaciers may be gone the next time you visit this place. Scientists say the southern Patagonian Ice Fields are melting away at some of the highest rates on the planet. So my advice would be to visit this place sooner rather than later.

The dramatically shaped mountains in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, may have been what I most wanted to see when I booked a trip to Patagonia. Then reality struck. Was it worth an early alarm, a 3 + hour bus trip each way with a burdensome Argentina Chile border crossing? An emphatic YES.! My wife and I loved the guided tour bus trip which included a short ( one and a half hour) hike. The scenery is as dramatic and beautiful as anything I have seen anywhere in the world. Any photographs you have seen do not do it justice. Make Torres del Paine a must visit in any trip to Patagonia. Wonderful!

The tour itself was pretty good. The guide was knowledgeable with adequate English. The park is the must see & best approached from a stay in Puerto Natales.. We were picked up just after 7am but since we were back by 4, surely you could make the start & finish an hour later, rather than getting started so early. Secondly it's absurd to run a tour to the Milodon caves & the National park without including the admissions - what would you do if someone didn't have the 25,000 pesos to get into the National park? Leave them at the gate?. Be honest, passengers should have the Chilean equivalent of about $42 each US in cash to fully participate in this tour. We would still have taken the tour - but we wouldn't have been worrying whether we has enough cash left for dinner.
This trek will take you through forests, lagoons and rivers to the lookout point of the Grey Lake floating glaciers. Get to an image that you will find hard to believe: the Grey Glacier merging with the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, a white frozen desert, which extends beyond your sight, to some uncertain confines. On the way, you will board a catamaran crossing Lake Pehoe, walk through rocky areas, forests of Coigües (a typical Patagonian tree), Lengas and Ñires and hear the whistling of more than 115 species of southern birds.
Inclusions: Hotel Pick-up and Drop-off (shared service), Professional Bilingual Guide, Box Lunch, Seat Insurance, Optional: Bamboo Poles, Poncho, Gaiters
Exclusions: Entrance Fee to Torres del Paine National Park, Lake Pehoe Catamaran Tickets (Round Trip), Unmentioned Food, Gratuities
We had a great trip to view the penguins on Magdalena Island. A 1 and 1/2 hour boat trip there and an hour plus walk around a 1.4 km trail was fantastic! Walking among thousands of Magellan penguins was surreal. The tour company did a terrific job of logistics and guides on the boat were friendly and very informative- spending time with each person.
This journey is undoubtedly the most exciting in Torres del Paine National Park, which has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and has an area of 242,242 hectares.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Bilingual guide, Canes
Exclusions: Services and food not mentioned, Rate does not include entrance to Torres del Paine National Park
