7 Concerts & Shows in Pembrokeshire That You Shouldn't Miss

March 21, 2022 Renato Branum

The diminutive Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a dramatic area of 225 square miles in southwest Wales, was set aside as a national park in 1952 and comprises a large portion of the Pembrokeshire coast and its islands and the moorland hills of Mynydd Preseli. Rugged cliffs and coastal rock formations are home to boisterous populations of seabirds, porpoises, whales, seals and dolphins. Cycle, hike or sea kayak around the spectacular coastline. Bird watching and rock climbing are also popular.

Theatr Gwaun

Dear Traveler / visitor/ person looking for something to do, Theatr Gwaun is an Independent Theatre, Cinema, Bar and Cafe in Fishguard, North Pembrokeshire. It's been a place for entertainment since 1885 when it was built as a Temperance Hall, becoming one of the first cinema's in Wales in the early 1920's. We're an intimate venue of only 180 seats and a single Cinema screen, but we're equipped to be able to accommodate the highest level of professional theatre and live music, and our 4K resolution, Dolby surround sound digital cinema system is a match for any screen in the country. Search our website for events. Most of all though, we're a friendly lot and like nothing better than to meet new people for a chat and to show off our venue! So if you're in the area, please call in and we'll give you a tour. Feel free to send me an email about anything you like using the listed email with FAO Paul in the title. Best Wishes, Paul Theatre Manager

Raul Speek Gallery

We are trying to create a mobile phone free space here including photographs of the art works and the cafe area. This is in line with our concerns that the use of these and their direct link to social media is encouraging people to concentrate on posting images rather than participating directly in the experience of being here and in Pembrokeshire. We would appreciate your help with this. If you speak to Raul he is usually amenable to having a picture or two taken but ask first. In January, February and March 2020 we will be open some weekends on a pop-up basis. We live on the premises and will be working on new websites there and are re-decorating so ring us if you want to speak to us and we will let you in!! Websites when updated during this time will show tapas night dates for the Summer and workshops dates. Sorry to let you down over the tapas nights last year when I broke my foot (Heather) but hopefully that wont happen again in 2020!!

Visiting Solva we were delighted to find Raul’s gallery in an old chapel.Truly original and well conceived art with powerful messages - this was backed up in a conversation with Raul who is intelligent, witty and thoughtful. This gallery is the gem of a lovely village due to this brilliant man.
