Glass By Design specialises in handmade stained and fused glass. There is an onsite studio so you are able to see the artworks being made and a progressive programme of beginner's day courses available for both Stained and Fused Glass. There is also a good range of sheet glass, tools and materials to buy. The studio is complimented by a Retail Art Gallery featuring not only stained and fused glass, but a range of handmade unique work by Makers from South and West Wales. The Gallery features slate, ceramics, wood, felt, paper and wire work. Makers can be commissioned to make one off bespoke pieces.

We are a partnership of four makers/artists/creators working together to provide support for local makers, and providing fun and friendly pottery workshops, based in Taff's Well, just north of Cardiff on the A470. We welcome visitors to our studio to see and chat about our work, we also have a display area where you can buy unique handmade ceramics directly from the artist.

Our 4×4 driving school makes a perfect day out – whether it’s for professional training, a special birthday surprise or a large group. We cater for drivers of all abilities, who soon learn that skill and not speed is the main attribute required to negotiate the tricky terrain. The easy start to the day is tea and coffee on arrival, a quick safety briefing and how the car works then in the trucks and the fun begins. We've zoned off our dedicated 30 acres into sections that progressively get harder as the day goes on.. but all courses ensure you become accustomed to the vehicle and terrain before advancing to the more challenging Zones (mudhole) (forbidden forest-full day only) we run groups of 5 or more on any date of your choosing.. single vouchers will be on the group sessions that run every weekend!
