Inspired by our traditional recipes we invite you to enjoy and experience the best cooking of Abruzzo!
This was a warm and wonderful afternoon learning and cooking with Rosy and Annabella. My husband and I stumbled upon this Cooking Class (via TripAdvisor) and had one of THE most memorable experiences of our trip to Abruzzo. These two lades are just amazing; smart, fun, skilled, sweet, kind, funny, effervescent and welcoming....but most of all...loving. Their communication prior to our arrival positioned our entire day with them, our menu selections, directions...etc. All of it well thought out, highly communicative, and you just knew you were going to be well taken care of. We were first introduced to wonderfully prepared appetizers, a bottle of Prossecco (or maybe two) and then started learning about the region's food. Next was pasta preparation, rolling dough and learning how to make pasta, from scratch the right way. We prepared dessert as well and an appetizer. Once we were finished making everything, the ladies cleared the dining room table (where we were prepping our meal), they poured us a glass(s) of wine....and we watched as they reset the table for an afternoon dinner with their entire family. Wow!.... Rosy (daughter) and Annabella (Mama) husband's then walked into the house and joined us for dinner along with Rosy's 10 year old son. We sat for hours after that, eating the food we prepared (so delicious), drank wine (lots of bottles), talked, shared, communicated and felt loved and welcomed into this family, who just several hours before, were just strangers to us. Abruzzo is one of the most underrated and undiscovered parts of Italy. If you choose to venture into this beautiful region be sure to stop by Rosy and Annabella's kitchen for a delightful afternoon. This family became our fast friends and we will remember them for their love, kindness, incredible food skills and our very full bellies! Ciao... Christopher and Michael
