Tres Sabores ("three tastes") was founded in 1999 by winemaker and owner, Julie Johnson, to explore the 'three savory flavors' in every glass of wine: the taste of the vine, the terroir, and the good company around the table. The property is filled with growing history as olives and vines were planted here over a century ago. Today, the farm is a certified organic (CCOF) grower of Cabernet, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Petit Verdot, pomegranates, Meyer lemons, and Olives. We also raise Guinea fowl and sheep who serve not only as lawn mowers and the mobile fertilization team for the ranch but also 'go to market' and are served in some of the finest farm to table restaurants in the Bay Area.
This was our favorite stop so far. What an amazing place. Loved being greeted by the friendly dogs and then getting a great tour of this sustainable winery / farm. Everyone was extremely friendly and gave us great information about the property, the area, and the wine. I would say that the quality of the wine was just as good if not better than most of the more expensive wines we tasted at other places. This certainly goes on my must visit list for anyone headed to the area and looking for wineries to go to.

Built in 1846, this water-powered mill served Napa Valley's farmers who brought their wheat grain and dried corn to the mill to be ground into flour and meal. Bale Grist Mill has one of the largest waterwheels in the country and still mills grain the old-fashioned way! Visitors can take home organic wheat flour, cornmeal or polenta. Come enjoy what was once a vital part of rural life!
For a small fee you get a wonderful tour and presentation of how the pioneers of California supplemented their meals with baked goods. the presentation includes the history and workings of the mill and a live demonstration of the milling process. Be sure to stay on the path from the parking lot to the mill because the surrounding woods are full of poison oak. Not to worry, just keep on the straight and narrow. Before you leave, pick up a bag of souvenir flour ground on site, take it home and back some bread or a pie you will be amazed at the flavor and freshness. I obtained some to bake a pie with local Gravenstein apples, what a treat!

The Robert Louis Stevenson Museum is a treasured institution in St. Helena, California. The Museum was first opened in 1969 and for nearly 50 years has been dedicated to connecting the life, works, and times of author Robert Louis Stevenson. For those who want an intimate and engaging look at this beloved author of such classics as Treasure Island and Strange Case of Jekyll and Hyde, this museum is a must see. Our staff is friendly and informative about RLS, his life, and his time living in St. Helena. If our days and hours do not fit your visit, please contact us about setting up a private tour!
A small specialty museum, basically one large room, the museum details the life and times of Robert Louis Stevenson and his family. Most of the artifacts in the museum are Stevenson originals. While the signage is interesting, the staff are wonderful and willing to talk about Stevenson and his life and works.

Clif Family celebrates wine, food and adventure in all that we do. Visit us and share our love of artisan wines, handcrafted food and authentic experiences. Our story begins with Gary and Kit’s cycling adventures through Italy where long days of cycling would end in leisurely evenings of good wine, food and hospitality. As great lovers of food, wine and adventure, Gary and Kit sought to bring these memorable experiences to their Napa Valley home with our Clif Family Tasting Room and Bruschetteria Food Truck. Our organic farm and estate vineyards located high atop Howell Mountain provide a bounty of grapes, olives, fruit and vegetables to fuel our journey. We hope you find time to slow down, fill your glass and spend an afternoon with us.
We recently did a virtual winetasting with this winery. Highly recommend —great wine, very well organized and quite entertaining. They shipped us the wine and very yummy snacks.

Established in 1890 by Anton Nichelini, Nichelini Family Winery is the oldest continuously owned and family-operated winery in Napa Valley.
Loved the Nichelini family winery. Such an interesting and amazing history, terrific staff (thank you Morgan and Bob for the great service) and even more amazing wine. We loved everything we tasted from the sparkling wine, to the rose, to the reds. Everything was delicious. It’s a little off the beaten path but Highly recommend.

This was easily my favorite stop in Napa Valley. It's basically a large shop with three tasting options. One was a free tasting with a good variety of 4 different wines, one was a list of 5 sweeter wines for $5, and the final tasting for $5 was a variety of specialty wines. Outside, there is an inn restricted to inn guests only but we were able to sit in the picturesque gazebo, explore the small rose garden, and check out the lovely koi pond. We decided to pop outside between each of our pours but you can park yourself inside for your tastings as well. Shout out to Yesica who helped us with our tastings and was super helpful, informative, and friendly! She was key to our great visit! The shop itself had a great variety of wines for purchase, including the Sutter Home mini bottles that I love! They had a couple packs of 16 mini-bottles-they should sell these everywhere! We opted to buy a regular bottle and build a couple 4-packs of mini bottles mixing and matching our favorite wines. We had just as much fun shopping as we did tasting. Overall the vibe at Sutter home, is very comfortable, casual, and fun. We enjoyed ourselves and would definable recommend and return!
