My husband and I stopped at the welcome center to use the bathroom and upon leaving we saw a small parking lot with a trail, so we got out and went to see what the trail led to. This monument is really cute and provides a lot of detail/history of flight. I would recommend a quick visit to check this out.

We loved this small park. It was shady enough and in good shape. It is a .4mile walk around the marsh on an elevated boardwalk. Lots of wildlife and the turtles are abundant.

The store is full of everything the traveler needs, especially souvenirs and beach items. My husband found & purchased several bathing suits, which seemed to be great quality at a great price. The employees were young internationals who spoke minimal English. A young lady from Thailand couldn't understand anything I said. A young African (or somewhere) didn't know what a Christmas ornament was, when I was trying to find one. A young lady from Russia was very busy folding clothes next to the dressing room, and was helpful letting my husband in and out of the dressing room. Her English was very good. I got a pretty bracelet for a friend, at a great price.
