Cracking little beach off a single track road near a farm and caravan park. Park up and then a few steps you are looking at the waterfront. Explore the rockpools.

The geological attraction with rocky arches and layers of sedimental rocks for climbing and making unique photos, very fine sand beach very shallow. A beautiful unique place to visit!

As we pulled up in the carpark opposite the boatyard, the sun was shining and it glistened on the water. We walked along the front, passed the pub, lifeboat station, some beautiful houses and the little cafe at the end. We kept walking along the private road (pedestrian access only to the public) and there it was..... shell beach!!! This has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. I instantly fell in love with this little place. The beach was just full of shells, ee walked and walked until we came to the rock pools, where the biys spend about 2 hrs climbing and exploring. When I say boys, I mean 2 teenagers, dad and grandad!!! They all thoroughly enjoyed this beach. Had it not been so late in the day we would have taken the public footpath on to Rockcliffe, but we wouldn't have been able to get there and back before it got dark.

A great beach, with lots of wildlife on view. The added extra of toilet provision makes it a comfortable place to pitch up for the day. Great place for dog walking and for families. With the freshwater stream running into the sea makes for added interest and play
